What an Amazing Value, especially FREE

This device is excellent, if you know 'your' specific phone use needs. I'm so impressed by this device, aside from better cameras, there's not a 5x difference between this device and your "flagship" phones. I would have preferred an aluminum frame, wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 (at least), and OLED. The phone resolution is HD+ 720x1612 – and holding it next to my Galaxy S series OLED Quad HD – the deeper blacks on the OLED were noticeable, and everything else was just fine. I never looked at the Moto and said ugh this is such a low-quality screen, in fact I was the opposite! This got me to thinking that phone costs really need to come down in price because of what we are getting for our money. I do prefer/enjoy Samsung One UI interface. I loathe “stock” “Pixel” Android UI/Skins , especially Google Messages and the debacle that is RCS. Moto does have some customization options and some of them I found useful and others were of no benefit to me. There was a TON of bloatware – which is quite irritating, however, 99% of it can be removed – disable the offending app from downloading the apps in the first place to resolve the issue. Data performance and Mobile Hotspot were excellent. As with ANY T-Mobile (voice) device, DISABLE 5G if you want/need CONSISTENT connection. There is NOTHING wrong with your SIM card, Device, or Software. If you have 5G enabled on ANY phone on ANY carrier and you find yourself missing phone calls, SMS/MMS messages are not being delivered, voicemails are not showing up, people say they have called you but your phone doesn’t even show a missed call, sent you a text and it was never delivered to your device, showing full bars and no data will transmit, weird dead air when people call you that eventually rings or says # not in service, etcetera. Report the issue to T-Mobile but it’s a waste of time doing proverbial “Troubleshooting” that wont address the root issue. I suspect since most people use iPhone and iMessage for communication, they aren’t aware that this is happening to them. For the past several years, I have experienced this network issue on every device from Apple, LG, Motorola. OnePlus. Samsung, Revvl, etcetera. I hate it, because the phone should be smart enough to handle this, and the engineers they pay should be able to resolve the issue. This goes beyond your typical, technical limitations that come with having mobile internet; because this is not that. I NEVER had these issues on 4G/LTE. So for my phones that I need my calls/texts/voicemails to show up, I don’t use 5G on them. I don’t have time to ponder if my device is connected or not, or why the tower is not transmitting my communications. I even tested myself, I would call my phone and hear it ringing on the phone but my phone would not be ringing, would not show the missed call, or the voicemail that I left. I can only imagine what this has done, and because most people are NOT tech savvy, they think the worst or something and it doesn’t even be that, perhaps the FCC should get involved. To my knowledge, these issues take place at ALL carriers, and ALL companies that use the T-Mobile network. 99% of the troubleshooting steps for these issues are placebo and waste of time. Your SIM card is a token, a key, it WORKS, or it DOESN’T – unless your phone says it cant read the SIM – then replacing it wont fix these issues. “Reset network settings’ is dumb and archaic as well. There ARE poor coverage areas. You could be experiencing an area with signal interference. Building structure issues, congestion, location, tower maintenance, etcetera. MOST TS steps are performative at best and unless your issue is easily identifiable because of your lack of being tech savvy, they are making an educated guess based on the information they have to diagnose the issues. THESE 5G specific issues are not normal, traditional, and I suspect it goes against the brands, and 5G was taken to market before ironing this out – BECAUSE most people use iOS – WE will see a DELAY in a REAL fix or recognition of the issue! I never had these issues when we first went to 4G/LTE from 3G. 5G is great for data when it works, poor/inconsistent for traditional voice/sms/voicemail services - its unreliable.

NOT 128 GB

Can't believe they claim this is 128 GB. Just took it out of the box, the phone claims the drive is at 98% full. How could it be 98% full if I just took it out of the box? I've heard of bloatware but really! And then there's the store I went to in Las Vegas at 6087 East Pecos road. What a joke! Nobody in that store including the manager knew anything about anything. I was in there over 2 hours. They had to ring things up twice because they goofed. They told me everything was transferred. It wasn't. Salesperson would tell me one thing manager would tell me another. The whole entire thing was a joke and now I have a phone that's basically useless cuz the drive is full. Doesn't matter that it's a cheap phone. It should have some memory. T-Mobile needs to get their act together and check these phones before they sell them and demand the manufacturers build a reasonable product. I'll be very surprised if this review makes it online. TMobile used to be great.

Moto G 5G

OMG! What can I say to convince you guys NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PIECE OF CRAP! I bought this phone from a Metro location where they act like it's the best thing since sliced bread and it was a crap. After you purchase they don't want to deal with you and give you attitude. The phone drops calls, and speaking works when it wants to. Regular calls the people on the other line say I sound like a robot. When I try to get help NO ONE wants to help me with the issue and they all point the fingers to the Company, manufacturer or insurance but NO ONE will help. Do your research before investing in a piece of crap of Motorola.

Camera with an 50mp quad pixels and a 8mp front camera is great on clarity on pictures and 1080p videos. Screen refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz is super amazing that multitasking is cake. Speakers with awesome sound with the Dolby Atmos. Signal is on point love it with calls very crisp. This is the best phone ever as a low budget phone coming from Motorola. Thanks #T-mobile #Motorola

So far, So good

Recently got this device through Metro by T-Mobile a few days ago and it seems to be working better than my previous device that I had for nearly a year. The device I use to have was the Nord N30 5G. I was kinda skeptical about buying this device cause I've had a few Moto's in the past and a majority of them where crap. The only good one besides this one I've had was the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022. I had a Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 both a joke. Anywho... Getting back to my previous Nord N30 5G this seems to have a better and quicker processor. It's more responsive. I'm only giving it a 3 star rating cause I've only had it for 2 days. I'll probably write another review later down the timeline.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Premium phone, premium features loving it so far

Bought this fee weeks ago. Very impressive. Looking very premium with leather like finish. Very robust. Survived few drops already. Everything looking great so far but ine thing I didn't like is T-Mobile is pushing so many APPs which I don't care and have to keep removing them. If you read this, Delete all APPs that were forced to you from T-Mobile side. You will see snappy performance after removing those APPs. Happy will call quality and Camera so far. Great phone over all at very low price.

Yes, I recommend this product.
