Yes, you can. As a current T-Mobile postpaid customer, you can add a line if you are the primary account holder and have not maximized the number of lines on your account.

The Magenta Drive for Personal eSIM plan includes unlimited voice, data, and Wi-Fi hotspot in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. You also get 5GB of 4G LTE data each month in Canada and Mexico, then unlimited data at reduced speeds. The plan also includes follow-me connectivity, which lets you access your service in compatible BMW and Rolls-Royce vehicles, including supported rentals and car shares, by signing in through the vehicle’s mobile app.

Simply download your vehicle's mobile app, login, navigate to 3rd Party Services, select Personal eSIM, then follow the prompts to sign up. You can also refer to the vehicle's Get Started Guide for additional information.

An eSIM, or 'embedded SIM' is essentially a SIM card embedded in a mobile device – cell phone, tablet, smartwatch – that allows connectivity to a cellular network without a physical, removable SIM card. The personal eSIM in the vehicle makes it possible to add your vehicle to your existing mobile phone plan.

If you already have a voice line with T-Mobile, you can add the Magenta Drive for Personal eSIM plan. Or you can open a new voice line with T-Mobile and sign up for the Magenta Drive for Personal eSIM plan.

Currently, it is available for BMW Group models equipped with a Personal eSIM. Please consult your vehicle owner’s manual to confirm that your vehicle is suitably equipped.
