Omar Tazi is the executive vice president and chief product officer at T-Mobile. In his role, Omar leads the Un-carrier’s centralized product organization focused on product strategy and innovation to differentiate T-Mobile from the competition and delight customers. Omar’s team of product specialists manage devices and supply chain, partnerships, product management, High Speed Internet and build new businesses leveraging T-Mobile's incredible assets to help define the next era of the Un-carrier.

Omar brings deep industry experience and knowledge of T-Mobile's business, iconic brand and culture. He recently served on the T-Mobile US Board of Directors for two years and joined T-Mobile from Deutsche Telekom (DT). At DT, Omar served as chief product and innovation officer responsible for group products, innovation, design and customer experience, as well as global partnerships and devices. He also led emerging businesses beyond DT’s core business.

Omar has a strong track record of scaling businesses and leading talented, diverse cross-cultural teams. He spent a decade in Silicon Valley and founded several fintech, e-commerce and big data ventures, along with numerous leadership roles at companies including Orange MEA, Oracle, Orbeon, and Symantec. A Stanford Graduate School of Business alumnus, Omar also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He’s also had several research and teaching positions at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH-EPFL) in the fields of AI and object-oriented programming.

Originally hailing from Casablanca, Morocco, today Omar lives in Seattle, Wash. Outside the office, Omar enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, playing rounds of golf or scuba diving in the Pacific Ocean.
