Jon Freier is chief operating officer of T-Mobile, leading the company’s core mobility businesses across the commercial marketing, digital, branded and national retail, customer care, direct sales, enterprise operating services, and supply chain and procurement functions. He leads more than 50,000 employees across the United States and works in close partnership across the enterprise to deliver strong execution and create value for customers, employees and shareholders.

With decades of experience advancing how the Un-carrier engages customers, Jon applies a deep understanding of the customer experience to how the company operates and evolves. He has led the modernization of customer-facing operations through data, automation and digital capabilities, reflecting how customers want to interact and be served.

Jon began his career on the frontlines in 1994 with Western Wireless, the predecessor company to VoiceStream and T-Mobile, and has had leadership roles through every major phase of the company’s growth. He has led the integration of multiple acquisitions, rapidly expanded the company’s presence in smaller markets and rural areas, and scaled operations to support over 140 million customers across America. As one of the longest-serving members of T-Mobile’s executive leadership team, Jon has played a key role in shaping the Un-carrier approach that defines T-Mobile today.

Jon earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Lubbock Christian University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Colorado State University.
