What will happen to the T-Mobile and Sprint brands?

Both brands will continue to exist and over time everything will evolve to T-Mobile. Beginning August 2, both companies will begin unifying under the T-Mobile brand for the first time. While T-Mobile will emerge as the combined companies' flagship brand in retail, web and advertising, Sprint customers will experience a slower transition, seeing the brands represented as a combined company in their direct communications and on the website when doing Sprint account maintenance. Account maintenance and management will not change for Sprint customers at this time!

Who will lead the company?

CEO Mike Sievert and a seasoned leadership team will lead T-Mobile. Get to know our new Senior Leadership Team.

Now that Sprint and T-Mobile are one company, do I get the same Un-carrier benefits as T-Mobile customers, like Netflix?

Rate plans that include Netflix are not currently available in the Sprint systems. If we are able to move you over, you will choose from T-Mobile available rate plans.

If I move from Sprint to T-Mobile, does this still count as a new line for T-Mobile offers now that the merger is complete?

No, as of 8/2 Sprint and T-Mobile are operating as one company so a move won’t constitute a new account. But, we have great offers available for all our customers whether you’re looking for a new rate plan or a new device. One of our Mobile Experts can help you explore which options are best for you.

If I move from Sprint to T-Mobile, can I transfer my device financing now that the merger is complete?

No, not at this time. You will have to have satisfied all your financial obligations on your devices along with some additional eligibility and compatibility if you want to move your whole account over to T-Mobile. One of our Mobile Experts can help you understand the requirements.

Can I still add a new line to my Sprint account?

Yes, customers with existing Sprint accounts can add lines.

If I move to T-Mobile now, will my Sprint tenure carry over?

Right now, if you are happy with your Sprint service, there is no reason for you to make any changes to your account. You will stay with the same Sprint network and service you’ve been using. If you wanted to move your account over to T-Mobile, you should work with a Retail Mobile expert to see if that option is available for you. If we are able to move you over, yes your tenure would carry over.

Now that Sprint and T-Mobile are one company, can I take advantage of T-Mobile offers/promotions?

Strong, dependable network connectivity has never been more critical to customers or the country. As the two networks are combined, T-Mobile will deliver:
  • Massive Capacity!  14times more capacity in the next six years than T-Mobile alone—which means it will be even better for streaming, gaming, downloading and more.
  • Crazy-fast speed! Customers will have access to average 5G speeds up to eight times faster than current LTE in just a few years and 15 times faster over the next six years.
  • Reaching nearly everyone! Within six years, T-Mobile will provide 5G to 99% of the U.S. population, including rural America.
  • Our goal is to create the best network for ALL.

What will happen with Sprint and T-Mobile retail stores?

The majority of Sprint stores have been updated with T-Mobile branding and a fresh coat of magenta paint, and most T-Mobile branded stores can serve both Sprint and T-Mobile customers.

With a few exceptions, our  stores  and store employees can now serve Sprint and T-Mobile customers. In these stores, Sprint and T-Mobile customers can walk in and the employees will be able to say, “Yes, we can help you!”

  • National retail stores like Best Buy and a small subset of retail store in rural areas will continue to serve Sprint customers only.

How do I find the nearest store where I can get help?

Check out the integrated online Store locator. Here you'll be able to see which stores can serve both T-Mobile, Sprint, or both. Use the map pin icon indicators and store descriptions for specifics.

If I need to call customer service, which number should I be calling?

Continue to call into the same customer service number you currently call. An experienced customer service representative will be ready to assist you.

What happens to my Sprint bill? Will I now have one bill for both providers?

You will continue to receive one bill but over time may see updated branding.

Will I still be able to sign into my account on Sprint.com?

Yes, you can still sign in to your MySprint dashboard (Web or App) at www.sprint.com/mysprint. From T-Mobile.com, when you click My Account, you’ll be prompted to enter your Sprint login credentials, and then you’ll be redirected to the MySprint dashboard.

Can I get my Sprint phone to work for Metro by T-Mobile?

Today every device works the same as it has on the network it’s currently using. For now, customers will use two distinct networks, Sprint and T-Mobile.

Many newer Sprint devices will be compatible with elements of the T-Mobile network.

I just upgraded my Sprint devices. Will they be compatible with T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile?

Today every device works the same as it has on the network it’s currently using. For now, customers will use two distinct networks, Sprint and T-Mobile, and Sprint customers now receive extended roaming capabilities on the T-Mobile network.

Many newer Sprint devices will be compatible with elements of the T-Mobile network. To use the T-Mobile network, these devices will need to be migrated over. Currently, if you wish to do this, you will need to pay off your devices and move your account to T-Mobile.
