  • The Billing Responsible Party and Authorized Users may add lines to existing accounts.

  • You can add a new line to your T-Mobile account by logging into the T-Life app, selecting “shop” and then selecting “add a line to your account in T-Life”. From here, you can select which device you would like to purchase for the new line or choose ‘Bring your own device’ and then complete your transaction.

  • The number of lines you can add depends on the rate plan you are on. Check T-Life or work with your Mobile Expert to determine how many lines you are eligible to have.

  • The SIM card, including a Nano SIM card with micro- and standard-SIM adapters and eSIM, is how your phone gets its assigned phone number. The card and eSIM work with an unlocked, T-Mobile compatible GSM phone. There is no SIM card activation required. If you receive a SIM card in the mail, simply slip it into your phone and you're ready to go. If your new device uses an eSIM, follow the prompts when turning on your new device for the first time to set it up. If you are upgrading your device and intend to use your same phone number, move your old SIM card to your new device. To activate your device, dial 1 (855) 980-3165 from a separate phone to contact T-Mobile customer service.

  • The card works with an unlocked, T-Mobile compatible GSM phone.

  • It is possible to keep the number you already have from another wireless or landline carrier. First, check if your existing number is eligible for transfer to T-Mobile. If it is, simply follow the on-screen instructions displayed during check-out to authorize the transfer. We'll do the rest. In rare circumstances, we are unable to transfer a number to our network—usually because we don't have a transfer agreement with the original service provider. Be sure to keep your old phone and old account until your number is fully activated on your new T-Mobile account for seamless service.

  • Transferring your phone number can happen within minutes, but can take up to 24 hours. If there is a problem with your phone number transfer, a member of our team will contact you within 24 hours.
