I have the same gateway and have not had a problem in the 3 months I've had T-Mobile Home Internet. I know this sounds brain-dead, but have you tried to re-run the setup assistant and see if you have another location that will give you a more robust connection. If you're not using the Ethernet connectors in the back of the gateway, try your attic. You might surprise yourself with getting a better signal.
