I'm having an issue with my Nokia gateway, connected to the Gateway WIFI I get over 400mbs. But connected to my router which is connected to the back of the gateway I only get top 160mbs. Is this a big in the firmware? I would get super fast speeds before on my router and all of a sudden they stop. I have used different WIFI 6 routers and still the same issue. Different cable, same issue. I even tried a different gateway, same issue. Is TMobile doing this on purpose to force customers to use their integrated WIFI. Anything will help.1.1KViews1like7CommentsDisabling SIP/ALG on my new Tmobile Home Internet - FAST5688W
I’ve been running my work IP phone for over months with T-Mobile Home Internet with no change and all the sudden my desk phone will no longer work. WOrking with my company (we deploy this phone service) it appears that SIP/ALG may be the issue but can’t find anything about disabling it on the Tmobile router. I’ll need to get this resolved of will have to go back to a fiber connection.812Views1like3Comments5G Home Internet nightly slow down
Hey all, I’ve had the black 5G gateway for a couple days now, and have been a T-Mobile customer for just as long. I guess the issue I’m having is looking like one that a lot of other people are as well. During the day my gateway pulls about 500 Mbps and has a “Very Good” signal. Without moving or changing anything about the setup, usage area, or anything, around 8PM Eastern my speeds go down to MAX 5 Mbps. Nothing has changed other than the time of the day. I have a ticket open for the “local engineering department” to troubleshoot. It’ll randomly be good during the night and then go back to the unusable 5 Mbps. I relayed this to Customer Care, and while they seem sympathetic to the plight, they ultimately just want me to continuously restart the gateway so they can reconnect it to the tower because it has “stopped communicating.” Is this the common reply that everyone is getting? Restart on restart while waiting for engineers to troubleshoot your wifi, only tothen get told you need to restart to be reconnected to the tower, and then ultimately a factory default when they’ve exhausted their checklist?21KViews17likes63CommentsTrouble viewing live news on Peacock.
I pay for Peacock Live so I can get my local news but now it's showing news in CharlotteNC and I'm in Yorktown, VA. our news comes from Portsmouth/Norfolk. This has been happening for over 2 weeks. I thought T Mobile was working on a work around. How can I get back to my local news and stay there? I really like the service on streaming it’s so much better than we had with Verizon. I have the G4SE router which had been working pretty well until recently. I like many others had the VPN disconnection issue that was recently fixed with the 1.03.20 firmware update. While this update did fix my VPN disconnection issue, it did introduce a brand new issue. I am able to connect to my VPN, and access my email, and internal company messaging systems like Teams. However, my internet connection is now being blocked from accessing any internal company sites, systems, or shared drivers or folders. I receive the following error message below "Secure Connection Failed" Error Code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR "The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified" I have never received this message before with any T-Mobile gateways, and it only occurred after this latest firmware update. I have tried both Wifi, and ethernet connection to the gateway. I have reset the gateway and played with somewindows settings but haven't found a solution. Has anyone else had this problem after this update? Any suggested fixes?272Views1like3CommentsUnstable home internet
I have been using T-mobile’s home internet for a while now and at first it was fine, but for the past 3 months, I have noticed my internet disconnecting often. It happens mostly in the evening, sometimes during the day as well. However, when I check the modem, it says the connection quality is very good. This is very frustrating as I need to get things done in one sitting but with the unstable internet connection, I don’t know if I want to stay with T-mobile anymore.210Views0likes1Commentwhy TMobile home internet so bad
When I first got my gateway it worked ok 6 months now and it sucks so bad I can't play games and half the time my wife can't even watch her shows without it buffing I think TMobile needs to stop making new stuff and fix theyre crappy service when I get another service in dropping this crap23KViews30likes46CommentsGreat Download Speeds, Horrible Upload speeds
A couple weeks ago our upload speeds dropped to below one, while our download speeds seem pretty consistent. 30-140. I reached out to customer service, did all the steps, and they sent a new gateway out. The New Gateway is having the same issues. Download 30-140, Upload .87. So now I’m back on with customer service, and they asked me to turn it off and on again. Then to move the unit because I should be getting 36 up. The best up we’ve ever had is 13. We moved the router all around the house before picking the current location with the best connection. This all started 2-3 weeks ago. No new devices on the network. Apparently no maintenance in the area. Any ideas.199Views0likes3CommentsWorld of tanks and TeamSpeak issues

Good day, As a user of T-Mobile Home Internet (TMHI), and someone who answers questions about the setup in this forum, I thought it might be helpful to post a few videos on the setup. There are many setup videos available, but the one linked below seems easy to follow and understand. For advanced users, you will find it boring. NOTE: if you are in an area where a T-Mobile cell tower is not close, your signal and performance may not be adequate and this service may not be for you. However for me and many others, we are within about 1-2 miles (line of sight) of our cell tower for 5G service. If so, you should get “4-5 bars” and get over 75 - 150+ Mbps download speeds. Also - you can change your SSID / wifi network name and password (please do so) during the setup process when using the T0Mobile Internet app to setup your new gateway/device. And, with the second video, if the user would have rotated his gateway a few degrees and waited and check his signal, he would have probably seen a signal improvement (the 5G antennas are located at the corners of the gateway). Most users find that using the process of rotate - check speed/bars - repeat, provide good results. Finally, use the include app function to set the gateway/device close to a window and inline with your cell tower (placement function in the internet app). I used “share location” and “camera” to point your camera in the direction of the cell tower in your area...seemed to work well. I hope this helps the greater TMHI community. Did it help you setup your T-Mobile gateway? What are your speeds (speedswill vary based on your location)? All the best!2.7KViews6likes14Comments
