Important info about your service

Recently, the majority of your usage has been international roaming. While we want to keep you connected, using more than 50% of your voice or data off-network for more than two bill cycles (approximately 60 days) is a violation of our Terms and Conditions. Please reduce your use of roaming to avoid service interruption.

What you need to know

The international travel benefits included with your plan are meant for short term travel, not an extended period of time. You can reduce your international roaming by connecting to a Wi-Fi network and using Wi-Fi calling.

How to use Wi-Fi calling

Wi-Fi calling allows you to make and receive calls wherever you can connect to Wi-Fi and is an easy way to avoid roaming. Simply connect to a Wi-Fi network and enable Wi-Fi calling on your phone.

iPhone:

Tap Settings > Tap Cellular > Tap Wi-Fi Calling > Toggle Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone

Android:

Tap Settings > Tap Connections > Tap Wi-Fi Calling > Toggle On > Tap Calling Preference > Select Wi-Fi Preferred

Need another option?

Using a local wireless provider might make the most sense for your current situation. We understand and are happy to explain all your options.

Please call us at 1-800-937-8997 in the US or at 1-505-998-3793 from outside the US Monday – Friday from 5:00 am – 5:00 pm PST.

Got Questions?

  • Your plan may include international roaming benefits, including connectivity in Mexico, Canada and hundreds of other countries and destinations, but this benefit is meant for brief periods of time. We recommend using Wi-Fi whenever you can. If more than 50% of your usage is international for more than two months, you will lose international data. If you’re traveling internationally for an extended period or are now living outside of the US, call us at 1-800-937-8997 from the U.S. or at 1-505-998-3793 from outside the U.S. to discuss your options.

  • Wi-Fi calls to the US are no additional cost and don’t count as international network usage. Learn more about Wi-Fi Calling here.

  • Yes, many plans include unlimited data on our nationwide U.S. network. International roaming benefits are meant for a brief period, not an extended time. Roaming that exceeds 50% of your usage for more than two months violates our Terms and Conditions and is not included in your plan.

  • When you’re on Wi-fi, connecting to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) keeps your connection secure. Your Internet usage goes through the VPN wherever it's located, so if you connect to a U.S.-based VPN and make a Wi-Fi call to non-US number when you’re traveling outside of the U.S., you may be charged at international long-distance rates. • If more than half of your monthly voice, text, and/or data usage is on an international provider’s network for a billing cycle, you will receive a notification warning. If your international usage continues at the same rate for more than two months, you will receive another notification. After three months, you will be notified that your international data will be blocked, as described in our Terms and Conditions.

  • Use Wi-Fi whenever it’s available.

  • The best way to reduce your international usage is to connect to Wi-Fi for internet access or use Wi-Fi calling if your phone supports it. Get Wi-Fi calling details here.

  • Go5G Next/Go5G Plus has a ton of great travel features, but none of our international data and text usage benefits were designed for traveling abroad for extended periods of time, or for living abroad.
