Get peace of mind with T-Mobile’s Price Lock guarantee for billing accounts activated after April 28, 2022. Price Lock guarantees that new accounts with qualifying plans, as well as existing customers who upgrade to Go5G Plus, Go5G Next, and Go5G can keep the same regular monthly rate plan price for their current unlimited talk, text, and data on our network (exclusions like taxes & fees apply).

What is Price Lock

Price Lock is our guarantee that we won’t raise the price of your qualifying rate plan for new accounts. You can rest assured that T-Mobile won’t raise the price of your regular monthly rate plan price for current unlimited talk, text, and data on our network on Go5G Plus, Go5G Next, Go5G, Base Essentials, Essential Savings, Essentials, Magenta, MAX, 55+, Military, First Responder, Unlimited and Lite Home Internet, and Business Unlimited plans as long as you’re a T-Mobile customer and keep your plan. And customers don’t have to do anything to get in on this – everyone who activates after April 28, 2022, with an eligible plan gets Price Lock. Now, new and existing customers can also have access to price lock if they switch to Go5G, Go5G Next, or Go5G Plus. Price Lock excludes taxes and fees, select limited-time promotions, per-use charges, third-party services, and network management practices. This Price Lock protection applies as long as the qualified plan is not removed or altered by the primary account holder.

As well, existing customers who switch to Go5G PlusGo5G Next, or Go5G qualify for Price Lock.

Price Lock applies to the following promotions for customers who qualified for the discount and activated their account after April 28, 2022:

  • 4 for $100 Essentials
  • 2 for $60 Base Essentials (2023 Switch P3)
  • $40 Home Internet (2022 HINT P20 & HINT P6 2023)
  • $30 Home Internet (2022 HINT P11, 2022 HINT P18 & HINT P3 2023)
  • $25 Home Internet (2022 HINT P22)

Accounts activated before April 28, 2022

A similar price assurance exists called Un-Contract for billing accounts activated with eligible plans on or before April 27, 2022. For customers who activated an eligible rate plan before April 27, 2022, the Un-Contract promise is our commitment that only you can change what you pay, and we mean it! To show just how serious we are, we have committed to pay your final month’s recurring service charge if we were to raise prices and you choose to leave. Just let us know within 60 days.

Switching plans

Price Lock applies to the published rate plan price on the date of activation for each line, not the original price paid when the account was opened. If you switch to another plan in the future, you will not be able to revert your prior plan to re-establish Price Lock.

The Price Lock Guarantee will continue to apply to additional lines or qualifying plan changes until T-Mobile announces any change to our pricing promise.

Taxes, fees, and other services

We won’t raise the rate for your unlimited service on your qualifying smartphone or tablet, but other aspects of your service are subject to change – such as:

  • Charges outside of T-Mobile control like taxes & fees and third party charges.
  • Select promotional offers, bill credits, and future additional lines may not be included; check your rate plan promotion for details. It does not apply to add-on features, non-recurring costs, or additional services such as JUMP!. Network management practices will continue to be optimized to give all of our customers the best experience.
