Adding T-Mobile's Port Out Protection can protect your phone number from fraudulent port out attempts by others. - ###### Why is this happening? Fraudsters are attempting to compromise personal bank accounts by taking over and transferring phone numbers from one wireless provider to another to intercept log in security measures. It’s a scheme that is affecting the entire wireless industry. - ###### What do I need to do? We suggest you add our Port Out Protection feature to your account. Only the Primary Account Holder (PAH) or Authorized User can add this feature. Only the Primary Account Holder can remove. To do this, you can go to the T-Mobile app or T-Mobile.com through the Manage Adds On page. - ###### How does the Port Out PIN protect my account? If someone attempts to port your number from T-Mobile to another wireless provider, the new provider will be required to validate the request with T-Mobile using the Port Out PIN provided to you. - ###### Does this port out PIN replace the password on my account on MyT-Mobile.com? No, this is in addition to your MyT-Mobile password. It’s an extra numeric PIN that is required by the other wireless provider when you attempt to port your number from T-Mobile to another provider. - ###### Is there anything else I can do to protect my account? Make sure you always have strong and unique passwords on any online or mobile account.
