Too many devices?

Is there ever a chance that we could have too many devices on this particular Wi-Fi box, we have added security cameras and grand kid devices when they visit?

  • The different router models support can support different numbers of connected devices before suffering a performance hit.  It has been reported (I cannot confirm however) that some of the older TM routers don't do well connecting more than 10 devices to the 2.4 GHz band.  The 5 GHz band can support significantly more.  The best you can do is experiment....and get as many devices as possible on the 5 GHz band.

It is unlikely that all of your devuces will reach the cap for the WiFi.  A lot of devices though, especially all being used at the same time, will cause the speeds to drop and potentially cause some WiFi lag as well.
