Re: Oculus Suddenly not Connecting
T Mobile sent out a press release a few days ago that the rolled oy 5G-SA (Standalone) nationwide. This is a pretty massive change from the 5G/LTE network that they had been using, and the routers needed firmware updates. It could be that these updates created unexpected problems with some hardware. For me, the transition was smooth. But if you had issues, I would consider going to the T-Mobile store and see if you can change your router out for another (newer) router.33Views0likes0CommentsRe: T-Life advanced cellular metrics and HINT no longer showing LTE signal info.
Interesting. I have an older Arcadyan KDV 21 router (1.00.24) and I've noticed the T-Life app has been reporting "No Signal" for the LTE band. It's been probably 3 months since I last checked, but using the old TMI App, it always had signals for both 5G and LTE. Performance wise, I'm not really seeing an impact as best as I can tell. So I'm guessing, like you say, the hybrid LTE/5G technology is being phased out.318Views0likes0CommentsRe: Home network
This is the nature of TM cellular internet. Your location is determined by where TM aggregates their cellular network and connects to the internet. It can even change from time-to-time. This can cause problems with some providers like Hulu + Live TV. Others, like YouTube TV, let customers define a location independent of IP address.81Views0likes0CommentsRe: Too many devices?
The different router models support can support different numbers of connected devices before suffering a performance hit. It has been reported (I cannot confirm however) that some of the older TM routers don't do well connecting more than 10 devices to the 2.4 GHz band. The 5 GHz band can support significantly more. The best you can do is experiment....and get as many devices as possible on the 5 GHz band.121Views0likes0CommentsRe: Curious SpeedTest Results
Your WiFi is likely set up with both a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band using the same SSID. Your devices auto-connect to whatever band the want based on signal strength. You PC is likely connecting to the 2.4 GHz band while your phones are likely connecting to the much faster 5 GHz band.170Views0likes3Comments
