Re: WPA 2/WPA3 Mixed mode possible on G4AR?
Hi Dwcraig1, It looks so easy to do..and quickly revert back if there isnt any benefit or file sharing. I am also looking into trying splitting the various devices ( like smart plugs) that go me a little scared will bog down the router…like thdy jave in the past….into the two networks (hobby and household) and see if that helps! Thanks, Paul4Views0likes0CommentsRe: WPA 2/WPA3 Mixed mode possible on G4AR?
Thanks Decraig1, I did find that setting and in the regular t life app! I put all devices down one step to wpa2 so the tablet could hookup..and it did! Actually the dual network is making more sense to me after reading your post, because my number one goal is to share files between my hobby pcs and I dont need all the secure info on our our household pc on anything other than on a wpa3 secure network. I can simply switch between the wpa3 and wpa2 network only during those times when I need my to use the household pc to share files with the hobby pcs. hi there, we have a household with three TVs going almost constantly over Wi-Fi and it’s all supplied by a G4 a R T-Mobile router with two access points. In addition, the network app shows between 26 and 31 devices. The the access points lose connectivity with the main router, and the solution is to turn off the router for 30 minutes and then turn it back on. However, I am out of town for days on end, and I would like to connect to my home PC the access point loses connection, and I have no way to restart the router. Is there a solution that will work for our situation? We are very happy with the speed and the hardware, except for this one thing. Thank you, Paul.Solved239Views0likes2CommentsG4AR Port Forwarding
Hi all, The port forwarding feature on routers is universal since the internet began. Yet, T-Mobile tells me they are unable to open ports on the G4AR (the new white one) because it does not use IP4 protocol. I am amazed. I never heard of a new type of networking that does not use IPs/ports on routers! So, how do I proceed? Sincerely, Paul Romero PS, the ports I want to open are: 5624, 8624, 7624, 3000.272Views1like1CommentFitXpress Access Point
Hi all, How do I use a FitXpress access point (AP) to extend my home network to the backyard? This AP simply connects with an ethernet cable to my G4AR T-Mobile router. I would like all my PCs/ Wifi smart plugs/ and TVs to be on the same network and visible to each other. I can create new networks within the AP’s configuration app, but should I do this, or simply leave it blank so it merely transmits the SSID of the T-Mobile router? If I do need to configure the AP with an SSID, should I just call it the same as the T-mobile router and alls good? Sincerely, Paul Romero81Views0likes0Comments
