Ok here's what is going on... I have pretty good signal almost full 5g bars most of the time down to where it drops to 4g lte at full bars. From time to time every couple hours I lose connection to the network where I can't text no apps work etc but usually I can still make calls just fine while this is happening. It only lasts 1-2 minutes sometimes or it may be out 15-20 then all of the sudden it's back to normal like nothing ever happened. It may go right back out again in 2 minutes or it may not happen for hours. Also it only happens on my new galaxy a32 not on our old galaxy j7 or prime whatever it was or on the older LG phone both of which are still being used on this account and same house at same time but they have no issues with connection ever. They aren't 5g either so I figure 5g has something to do with it. It just really gets old when you can't finish a conversation or get directions because internet/network connection just stopped. What can I do? All my connection settings are set how tmobile and other people have said they should be. I don't have Wi-Fi so I'm set to always use mobile data. What now? Or will I just have to suffer through. It's prob just some tmobile network problem that's with the new 5g. I guess that's what I get buying a new phone. Any ideas?92KViews22likes79CommentsProblem with high latency/ping
Hello all. We received our 5g Gateway two days ago and so far, have big problems. We’ve been testing our latency and speeds over and over at https://www.speedtest.net and have observed the latency/ping on both our Windows 11 PCs is consistently between 40-60ms, at all hours of the day and night. Download varies between 160mbps and 0.5mbps. Upload is steady around 20-40mbps. We have done the following: Moved around the Gateway to many different areas of the house, tested the results at Speedtest.net, and selected the best area (3 bars). Oddly, this is NOT close to a window, but in the middle of the kitchen. (Yes, I am an RF engineer and I know how nuts that is. Makes zero sense to me, but that’s what our results repeatedly demonstrate. Regardless, ping is the same everywhere in the house.) Downloaded and run TCPOptimizer Rebooted our machines several times Contacted Tech Support, who said something about “keeping an eye on the tower” and promised to call us back in 24 hours. (It’s now been 24+ hours.) Does anyone have ideas to help us lower this ping? It’s severely interfering with video calls and online gaming. Thank you!10KViews4likes6CommentsHigh-Speed Internet Gateway does not work with some apps on T-mobile Home Wifi Internet
I don’t know if anybody can help. Encountered a few deal breaking moments with T-mobile Home Wifi internet. I get a whopping 100-235mbps with my High-Speed Internet Gateway but it prevents full access to apps causing extreme lag spikes, pages not loading and video not playing with Amazon Prime Video (on PS4 and on Amazon Fire Stick 4k), TD Ameritrade trading platform for Windows 10, and to a lesser extent apps like Epic Games on PC I also have T-vision TV package, that works fine. So does Netflix. Epic games was able to be fixed once telling PC to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. respectively. I had to use Nord VPN to get TD Ameritrade to function correctly without freezing at times, DNS change did not work here. Amazon prime video is still a no go, constantly stops and takes a long time to load again only to stop again. DNS change also did not resolve the issue. It should still work with Nord VPN because it bypasses all T-Mobile filters, but I did not buy T-mobile Home WiFi internet to need the VPN all the time, so I did not bother trying VPN with Prime Video. Is that something we can possibly fix in firmware? And soon please? Speaking of firmware. There is no place to get a new Firmware update which the High-Speed Internet Gateway critically needs. It lacks too many features. One the most needed features is to allow the High-Speed Internet Gateway to turn in just a modem and turn off all routing features so that users can bring their own independent routers to handle DHCP and other advanced functions. High-Speed Internet Gateway also has a bug where I can not fully disable all of the WiFi Signals. You can stop broadcast and SSID from being announced and reduce the radio power for 2.4ghz and 5ghz from 100% down to 12% but it is still not entirely off. I can still see a 5ghz band displaying a signal and allows me to connect when WiFi is supposed to be disabled. Apparently there is a 5Ghz low and 5Ghz high antenna mode. And the 5ghz high is the one that remains visible and usable. Can not be turned off. I don’t want to use the hub for wifi, just want to use hard wired internet. I hope to see these issues addressed in the next firmware update with a resources on where we can obtain the new firmware update file as right now there is no information on that anywhere for the new High-Speed Internet Gateway. At the very least I want to see the simple feature of turning the gateway into a modem all by itself and I can handle all the routing on my end instead and if it comes to it I can do a whole house VPN that way and bypass all the problems. Older gateways had the expert mode from what I could see, please bring that back too if you can. Thank you for reading! And for the help! Mike P.S. I have already tried turning it off and back on again, obviously does not work. VPN seems to be the only way to bypass all the problems, but since the unit can not disable routing to act solely as a modem, I can not use a separate router for DHCP and to run VPN for the whole house.9.9KViews7likes21CommentsArcadyan KVD21 5G which connectors for 5G external antenna
Recently, I moved from Comcast Xfinity Internet to T-Mobile. Like many of you I have seen videos and read articles on how to attach an external antenna. I have a 2X2 Proxicast MIMO antenna, however, there is some question as to which connection to use on the Arcadyan Gateway. Currently, I am using M and M1 connections. I mounted the antenna in the rafters (2-story house) aiming toward the T-Mobile cell tower. My cell metrics did not change much. 5G -RSRP -92 with antenna, -93 without; RSRQ -6, -7 without; SINR 16, 8 without What are you using and do you have a different experience? Thanks!6.7KViews0likes29CommentsITS TIME TO SUE T-MOBILE BAD INTERNET SERVICE

So the wifi seems to work fine on my Xbox and other devices but for some reason, my Xbox can't connect to Xbox live party. This is weird cause my Xbox is working fine but it's sayings it's a network issue. I hypothesize that since it's wifi 6 their must be something I am not seeing here. Cause it also says on my Xbox that UpnP not successful.4.3KViews0likes2CommentsFire Stick
I am unable to get my fire stick to work with the Grey Cylinder modem. Connects but states no internet, then says a web guard feature is enabled on the mobile line restricting content. They need authorization but the manage connections on the app has no ability other then connect or disconnect.4.2KViews1like7CommentsIs my Android asian phone blacklisted?
Hello! I have a Xiaomi (K40 gaming) phone, I've been with TMobile since 2 weeks ago without any issue, I've just inserted the SIM in my cellphone and everything went smoothly. Today in the morninrg I've noticed that I had no internet connection, the signal bars were there but no 5G nor VoLTE icon appeared. Plus, I was not able to make any phone call and SMS were not sent either. After a couple of hours, I was able to make and receive calls and SMS, but the Internet is still missing. I went to a T-Mobile store and one guy there "explained" me that Chinese phones are not meant to work in US networks, that somehow the network it's struggling to connect to the cellphone band and because of the "US situation with China" these phones usually have these connection issues and that at some point, these phones will be blacklisted. Since my phone worked just fine the last 2 weeks, I don't think these arguments are valid at all. On the other hand, I called to customer service and they've raised a report for the technical team to investigate. Is this blacklisting a real thing? Any clue on why T-Mobile restricted my service?2KViews2likes28Comments
