Re: HP printer set up with T-Life
@hockeyman13, yes it’s all T-Life now (app consolidation I think). https://www.t-mobile.com/support/home-internet/app Download the app, log in, scroll down to “Home Internet” and you can add a separate SSID for your printer. I hope this. helps.39Views0likes0CommentsRe: GRE Issue
@Soco1965, several people have experienced VPN issues. On the forums, use the following link. A user posted a YouTube video that refers to adjusting your MTU. https://community.t-mobile.com/troubleshooting-38/unable-to-use-t-mobile-home-internet-with-work-vpn-any-suggestions-52100 I hope this helps.16Views0likes0CommentsRe: why is the internet down?
@MikeGebhard, a few questions first to understand your setup. Do you have a wifi router that is attached to your TM gateway, or do devices connect directly to your gateway? If they attach directly to your gateway, do you see your SSID (my home internet) wifi network on your devices like phones, tablets and TVs? You should be able to configure your gateway and then restart it and then go to your devices and see your gateway network/SSID name to connect. As for your last question, you can always call the TM customer support line at 1-800-937-8997.32Views0likes0CommentsRe: G4AR firmware upgrade to 1.00.12 results in frequent lost internet connection and reboots
@mountainman, FYI the following from one user’s experience. https://community.t-mobile.com/gateways-and-devices-37/warning-aug-8-2024-potential-flaws-in-g4ar-5g-gateway-firmware-update-v1-00-09-related-to-external-antenna-use-59268?tid=59268&fid=3758Views0likes0CommentsRe: TLife app "Add Device" button disappeared
@Ostremike, just to confirm youdon’t see the + Add new Network under the My networks screen? Did you add a different network SSID or band for each of your 12 devices? You should be able to add a few SSIDs for computers, IoT devices like lights and thermostats, and a 2.4Ghz SSID for devices like printers, with weaker security protocol. I only have two SSIDs, one for 5Ghz and one for 2.4Ghz.19Views0likes0CommentsRe: UNUSABLE SPEEDS during peak times using home internet
@awefa, thanks for the background. How many bars do you see on the gateway display? When you setup your gateway, did you use the locator assistant? That can be helpful to guide you to putting the gateway in the best possible location in your home to receive the best signal. Finally, what are your device metrics? This data is helpful when diagnosing signal issues. The attachment shows preferred metric results. For example. with an external antenna, mine are: RSSI -49, RSRP -73, and SINR 40. You can access the metrics from the T-Life app Home Screen > scroll down to “Connect” and tap your gateway device > tap “More” at top > > tap Advanced Cellular Metrics, then tap the “I” or signal results (excellent, good, poor) and let us know your metrics.29Views1like0CommentsRe: UNUSABLE SPEEDS during peak times using home internet
@awefa, if you are located near a freeway, commute traffic users may be using a lot of bandwidth, which impacts home internet users. To help diagnose your problem, can you answer a few questions? Did this situation just start, or has it been this way from day one? How long have you had TM Home Internet service? Are you connected to the gateway via wifi or ethernet cable? If you use a cable does your speed improve? Do you have other devices connected to your wifi? Thank you.36Views0likes0Comments
