My big gray cylinder 5G Home internet has good signal and works reliably. But some percent of websites I visit simply refuse to load via the TMo 5g device, yet they work fine if I use my Verizon cellphone data, or a coaxial cable modem (which I have not canceled service on yet). I am guessing it’s either a DNS issue between my Mac and the T-Mobile cylinder (eg: settings requiring technical help or updates), or a problem in the T-Mo network that is blocking some sites. After spending too many hours on the phone already with Tmo tech support for 5G Home, I am not excited about the prospect of engaging on the phone again. It takes too long, and the agents need more training and support. Has anyone experienced and solved this issue? Do you have technical insights? Is there actual written documentation somewhere that I could access? Thank you. (Honestly Tmo, you need to rethink your support infrastructure for 5G Home.)15KViews4likes84CommentsiPhone eSIM temporary unlock while traveling abroad
HI, I would like to know if eSIM can be unlocked only while traveling abroad. We used to be with another carrier “V” as I heard they were the only one keeping the devices unlocked even while the phone is in installment. We switched to T-Mobile 9 months ago because T-Mobile sales representative offered cheaper monthly fee for seniors like us, upgrade to iPhone 15 and T-Mobile unlocks SIM temporarily for 30 days if requesting before traveling abroad even we are in equipment installment plan. Today I contacted for T-Mobile chat support as my wife is traveling to Japan from this weekend and was advised by a chatbot that we are not eligible to unlock because there is a balance for monthly device payment. I googled and read some people saying the temporary unlock is available only to Android phones. It seems to be not what T-Mobile does/doesn’t but rather hardware setting on Android. I also see certain iPhone can be unlocked only if installment plan is purchased from Apple store or Apple.com, which sounds weird to me why customers purchased directly from the carrier is limited in services. Although my Go5GPlus plan offers up to 5GB data included, I was informed I need to purchase international data pass after that ($35 for 5GB in 10 days, $50 for 15GB in 30 days), which sounds comparably expensive as long as I researched Japan local carriers’ prepaid data rate. We travel overseas only 1 or 2 in a year, so it is still cheaper when considering the monthly charges overall, but I just would like to know the correct information of iPhone under T-Mobile equipment installment plan. Could someone who was recently in the same situation or T-Mobile expert could clarify the most updated information? Thank you so much,3.5KViews1like3CommentsI don’t have data in Mexico
I am in Mexico right now and my data is not working. Every time I come here, I get 5G high speed data and then unlimited low speed data, every month, for 3 months. I always get a “Welcome to Mexico” text when I land. However, this last trip I have not gotten a “Welcome to Mexico” text and I have been here for 2 months already. My phone has said no service since I have been here and I haven’t had any data! I have a Magenta plan and I know this is supposed to be included. I am extremely frustrated and confused!2.5KViews0likes8Commentstmobile data limits scam
Looks like you’ve used most of your Home Internet monthly data Speeds will slow down at 100% usage Hi, xxx Be on the lookout—your T-Mobile Home Internet has reached 95% of your 100.00GB monthly data limit. Once you reach 100%, you’ll start to experience slower speeds until . IMPACTED DEVICE Line ending in xxx This is a total lie, it 100% stops at the limit nothing works. Agents sold me on it would drop to only 40mb!! What a scam of a company lie!3.5KViews1like11CommentsAnyone else experienced a PAID line being added to their account without your authorization, and then had issues with T-Mobile when trying to remove the added line and get a refund?
Upgraded and bought a new iPhone in a T-Mobile store on 04/22/2022 - I am unfortanely just now noticing after reviewing my yearly reports for tax season approaching, that there was a data line added to my services/bill on the same day, for an apple watch?! The charge was insignificant in cost enough for me to never notice too much of a difference, and the sales representative in the store explained to me the new bill amount and an increase being due to the monthly amount I would be charged for the iPhone payment plan option to pay month for a phone instead of paying in full. I am now trying to have the line removed but the customer service dept. has only tried to tell me I am wrong and that I activated this on my own MONTHS prior to 4/22/22, which is so far from true. I have only ever used my apple watch on wifi/connected to my phone via bluetooth. After reviewing my usuage overview for 2022, each month shows the additional line and every month has 0.00GB of data used. I found this information through my t-mobile account but yet the customer service reps I’ve spoken to (which has been several now) all seem incompentent and unable to find similar information to show that this change was unauthorized. In addition, the representatives only focus seems to be on conversion or a new sale, rather than doing actual customer service. What happens to customer service??? Anyone had similar experiences? What did you have to do to get T-Mobile to cooperate and help? Do I need to file claim with the Better Business Bureau you think? Anyone filed with the BBB before, and if so, did you have any good results from it? I just want a line removed and something credited to my account for the near year I have paid for a service I never signed up for or authorized, and it seems impossible.2.6KViews0likes10CommentsI only get 2 or one bar of service
I only get 2 bars of service, and 2 bars is the highest it’ll go. I paid for another month not too long ago, and it still doesn’t go past 2. I’ve tried everything from restarting to re-inserting the sim card again. I really don’t want to think I paid $50 just for 1-2 bars. Is there anything else I can do to get my data to reach 4 bars again? My phone model is the iPhone XS Max.8.8KViews1like6CommentsInternational Data
Currently travelling in Italy and upon arrival I received the standard welcome message “Your plan includes coverage that gives you unlimited data On Us now at faster speeds up to 256Kbps, plus unlimited texts at no extra cost!” Just want to make sure that I am reading this correctly, I have free text and data while here? What if I make a call through whatsapp or FB? As long as I don’t make a call through the local carrier then I should not have any additional charges, correct?156Views0likes0Comments
