T-Mobile should distance itself from Ooma.
I signed up for the T-Mobile 5G Internet service promotion that included a free Ooma Telo Air 2 device. It took an inordinate amount of time to get the Telo Air 2 from Ooma and the Bluetooth setup connection did not work. Even with the Ooma Telo Air 2 device directly connected to the T-Mobile 5G gateway via Ethernet, the frequent audio dropouts made phone calls completely impossible to discerningly hear. I performed some troubleshooting with T-Mobile and Ooma, but to no avail. I called Ooma to cancel my service less than two weeks after receiving my Ooma Telo Air 2. An Ooma representative said I needed to return the Telo Air 2 at my expense. I vehemently protested and got an Ooma supervisor to approve a prepaid authorization label to be emailed to me. The supervisor provided an Ooma reference number for the approval. I kept checking my email, but no prepaid return authorization label ever arrived. Multiple phone calls to Ooma agents and supervisors produced no positive results. I have already filed a complaint against Ooma with the Better Business Bureau. Complaints against Ooma with The Federal Communication Commission and the Federal Trade Commission are soon to follow. T-Mobile's reputation with its customers is already deficient enough without partnering up with an unscrupulous company such as Ooma to tarnish it even further.Meowta4 days agoTransmission Trainee34Views0likes0Comments30Gb 90 day trial on Surface Pro 9
I enrolled in the 30Gb 90 trial that came preinstalled onmy Surface Pro 5g/LTE Laptop with but for some reason it never activated an eSIM on the computer. I called support 3 times for long times in an attempt to get it operational. After working on it for a bit on the 3rd call, they forwarded me to network services who told me that they do not offer this promotion for Windows butonly support phones, not computers even though the plan indicates “Windows” and I read to him off their web site the promotion! Here is what the show on their web site -https://www.t-mobile.com/news/network/t-mobile-delivers-free-5g-connectivity-with-the-microsoft-surface-pro-9-with-5g On the T-Mobile dashboard to indicates my plan as “Windows Mobile Plans 3 Month 30GB Trial” with 0Gb to 30Gb used. It is truly amazing how difficult it is to get a Windows laptop connected through T-Mobile and will not support this promotion.MaineWesty23 days agoNetwork Novice61Views0likes0Commentsupgrade when wrong?
We recently upgraded two iPhone 13s to iPhone 16s through an online trade-in promotion with T-Mobile, submitted on 9/13/24. For the first month, our October bill looked fine, and the trade-in credits were applied. However, on the November bill, one of the credits was unexpectedly removed, leading to a more than $40 increase. When I contacted customer support, I was informed that the trade-in promotion was removed because our current rate plan supposedly doesn’t qualify. Now, T-Mobile is billing us full retail for the phone unless we switch to a more expensive plan. This feels unfair, as we weren’t informed of any rate plan restrictions at the time of the upgrade. Now, they’re asking us to either pay more each month or lose out on the promotion we signed up for. At this point, I either need T-Mobile to honor the original deal or return my old iPhone. This was a frustrating experience, and it feels like we were misled. I don’t want to change my plan. What are my options?peter_h_chen30 days agoNetwork Novice26Views0likes0CommentsCan old physycial SIM still be used after switch to ESIM ?
Hello, I had a phsycial SIM in my old pixel 4 and bought a pixel 8 a couple months ago. It gave me the option to transfer the SIM as an ESIM to the new pixel 8. I have a prepaid 10 GB plan for $40. Today I recycled some of my old phones and I don’t know if that old physical SIM was still in the phone. So could someone technically use that one to connect to my network or account ? I did wipe all the data from the phone and I think it was off for at least 6 months. I also have the sim swap protection enabled now and that port out option or whatever it is called. I remember when the switch happend the old phone did not have any network connection. Just wondering if I need to do something here for protection.SolvedAnotherUser2 months agoNewbie Caller267Views0likes1Comment- hamandreas2 months agoNetwork Novice34Views0likes0Comments
Send international text T-mobile connect plan
I am planning to sign up for one of the prepaid T-mobile Connect plans. It was not clear from the plan description about texting to international numbers while in USA. Will i be able to send and receive texts to international countries while in USA ?vgsenthil2 months agoNetwork Novice41Views0likes0Commentscalls from resale cellular to cable lindlines
Greetings, This question is being posted on public forums for: T-Mobile, Tello Mobile, Mint Mobile and Optimum Cable which, like all cable companies, offers a landline-over-cable service. My hope is that technical experts from these companies will see this and respond. This concerns an error that occurs when cellular calls are initiated from RESELLERS of T-Mobile service e.g., Tello and Mint, to Optimum or any other cable company landline. Here is the issue: I have Mint Mobile (a T-Mobile reseller) on a Motorola Galaxy AO1 and Tello Mobile (also a T-Mobile reseller) on another phone of the same model. In my home, I have an Optimum cable provided landline. When I use either of my cell phones to call my Optimum landline or any other cable provided landline, the ringing cycle starts as normal, but stops abruptly after only 3 rings (as heard over my cell phone’s receiver). When the ringing cycle stops, a message appears on my cell that says “Couldn’t complete”. It does this every time, without exception. Calls made from either of my cell phones to any other wireless carrier, or to any traditional ‘Ma Bell’ landline, never experiences this issue. I have tested this error by making calls to my home from other cell phones with various providers which are NOT resale service, and there is never an issue. It seems that this problem only occurs when a cell phone, using a resale service, is being routed to a cable provided landline. Can anyone advise as to why this is occurring and how it might be resolved? Thank you.magenta75160212 months agoNetwork Novice18Views0likes0CommentsSIM Unlock
I have put in a request about 7 days ago to unlock my IPhone 13. I am a T-Mobile prepaid customer and, the representative stated I have met all requirements for my phone to be unlocked. Unfortunately, I have been waiting about a weeks time in business days and have not yet received one email or update about this. I called again a few days ago hoping there would be some sort of resolution. To my surprise, there has not been one yet.95Views0likes2Comments
