Thanks, that's very interesting. It has mostly positive ratings on the iOS app store, but one person reported needing to reset the gateway after turning off the 5gHZ radio recently.
I've come to terms with the gateway operating as it does, having architected my home network around its limitations. So, at least at this point, I'm not adventurous enough to try something unsupported by the vendor. But it's encouraging that the app does exist, and I may revisit it later.
