Re: Home internet
Perhaps your devices (smart TVs, streaming devices, computers, etc.) are too far away from your gateway. Get the Speedtest by Oklahoma app for your phone. Measure the download speed near your devices, near the gateway, and throughout the house. If you find dead spots, you could try relocating the gateway or adding a mesh extender.47Views1like0CommentsRe: How to connect a 2.4 G device to 5G gateway?
Revised instructions (the app changed since I wrote the above) to create new 2.4 GHz network: Tap Internet (at the top). Tap My Wi-Fi (at the top). At the bottom, tap + Add new network. General details section: Enter a Wi-Fi network name (SSID) (TIP: this should be alphabetically after your primary network name.) Enter a Wi-Fi network password. Advanced settings section: Frequency Band: select 2.4 GHz WPA Version: select WPA/WPA2 WPA Encryption mode will be automatically set to TKIP+AES. Tap Save at the bottom.142Views0likes0CommentsRe: Change WiFi (not admin) password on gateway
You can change the Wi-Fi password in the T Life app. Keep in mind that this will require every device that is connected to be re-connected by you. T Life app instructions to change Wi-Fi Password: Tap Internet (at the top). Tap My Wi-Fi (at the top). In the My networks section, tap the > (right arrow) for the network you want to change. In the General details section, tap the eye symbol in the Wi-Fi network password box. Edit the password. Tap Save at the bottom. It takes a few minutes to update the gateway. Any devices that are connected to this network will need to be re-connected with the updated password.530Views1like1CommentRe: Security Tab on T-Life App Not Loading
I don't see a Security tab in my T Life app. What are you trying to accomplish? Password and WPA version can be reviewed/changed by tapping the > next to your network (in My Wi-Fi, My networks), then making changes on the Network details page. Tap Save at the bottom if you make a change. "Oops, it looks like something went wrong" does happen frequently in the app. Unplug the gateway for about 10 seconds. Wait a few minutes after plugging it back in.308Views0likes0CommentsRe: Issue with creating 2.4 network- plz read entirely
CORRECTED for newer version of the T Life app (I don't see an option to edit my previous post.) T Life app instructions to create new 2.4 GHz network: Tap Internet (at the top). Tap Save at the bottom. I recommend using the original default network configuration as much as possible. (Automatic frequency band & WPA2/WPA3 security.) Use the second 2.4 GHz network for devices that have trouble with the default network.88Views0likes0Comments
