Check if Device Reported Stolen

Hello!   I recently purchased an iPhone 11 on Mercari for $60, and found out finally after fixing it that there’s an iCloud lock.  But I am also curios if there is any way to check and see if it has...

check the IMEI. This is from Swappa which sells used devices.  You won’t get any info from previous owners.  No carrier let alone any OEM is allowed to for privacy, legal, and security reasons.  If it is in fact iCloud Lock best to return it just for that.
