G4AR: connection via WiFi vs. via Ethernet cable on LAN1
I recently installed the white G4AR device using the Rely 5G Home Internet service. When I connect to the device via WiFi, i.e., directly, and run SpeedTest, I get 486 Mbps down/65.9 Mbps up, which is pretty good. However, when I connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN1 port on the G4AR which is then connected to my firewall, then through a non-managed gigabit switch and then to my own WiFi access point, I get 269 Mbps down/17.6 Mbps up. While the reduced throughput could be due to my firewall/switch/access point, I doubt it, as I've used those devices to connect to a wired ISP in the recent past without a problem. Is anyone aware of some sort of throttling of throughput when going through the gigabit Ethernet connections of the G4AR? Would I get better throughput going through the LAN2 port for any reason?8Views0likes0Comments- 14Views0likes1Comment
RCS chats disabled by carrier
What the heck?!? My chats were working just fine until a couple of weeks ago. I don't get it. My S23 is up to date. I've cleared the messages cache, turned RCS off and on, turned airplane mode on and off. Am I missing something or what? Because I'm getting mad1.6KViews1like7CommentsGroup Messaging
I'm using an iPhone 14 and I’m trying to send group messages that include both iPhone and Android users. I can send the group message, but the replies come back as individual texts instead of staying in the group thread. I noticed that in Settings > Messages, I have MMS Messaging enabled, but I don’t see the “Group Messaging” option at all. Can anyone help with this?17Views0likes0Comments- 30Views0likes1Comment
Less trade in value for Military plans
I find it quite disappointing that T-Mobile changed the trade-in values for the Military and 1st responder plans to less than their equivalent plan. I signed up for the Go5G Plus Military plan, looking to get the discount on the iPhone 16. By the time the change took affect, and I got to the store to trade in for the phone, I saw that they dropped the promotional value from $830 to $630 for the military plans. The Go5G Plus plan is still $830, so I was basically lied to that this is the same plan, but discounted for veterans. Now, the trade in value is the same as my old plan, but they conned me into paying an extra $50/mo with no added benefit. I had already traded in another phone on this plan and was waiting for the iPhone to be available, so I am tied into it for the time being. I understand that T-Mobile can change the promo terms at any point, but this isn't changing the terms of the promo, this is false advertising on the part of the plan, since it is not the same plan at a discount. It is just a discount plan with less benefits. I'll be keeping my eyes out for competitors paying for me to switch now if this is how T-Mobile treats their customers, and make false claims about Veteran appreciation.829Views2likes4CommentsTrading in iphone - find my iPhone "off"
Hello - looking for someone who maybe know how to do this. I called tmobile afte I got a message stating that my trade in was not accepted due to a setting on the device. Long story short, I didn't take off tracking and clear the data from the phone before mailing. Apple tells me to go to settings, etc....and gives directions, however it appears to me the iphone i already turned off. I am unable to do factory reset as Tmobile website keeps saying "go to settings on your phone". The phone has already been mailed unfortunately. Anyone know a way around this?38Views0likes0CommentsT-Mobile is running a phone trade in scam.
I have had such an awful experience trying to solve this lost trade in phone issue that I am just utterly frustrated and angry with customer service. I have PROOF the phone was delivered, even the customer service representative admitted they have it, but I can’t get credit for it. I have been lied to, ignored, I don’t feel like a long time valued customer with T-Mobile, quite the opposite. In my opinion they are without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am still out my $300 trade in. Knowing what I know now I will NEVER trade in a phone with T-Mobile again, just a horrible experience.43Views0likes0Comments
