Re: Internet CONSTANTLY drops
I've gone through a total of 7 gateways. Original KVD-21 exchanged (at store) for G4-SE, which worked fine until October 2024. T-Mobile support told me to exchange for G4-AR. It came in DOA. Exchanged again, and after +1 month (patch caught up) it too died. Repeat a few more times through Executive Response Team. Finally gave up and cancelled it. T-Mobile does NOT support VPN. Yes, almost every time I've had issues - its been firmware bugs (features?! 🤣) that cause problems. Hotspot is more reliable. I suspect that T-Mobile doesn't want much beyond basic 'use', and VPNs typically have the ability to go around app specific features (i.e. YouTube settings)41Views0likes0CommentsRe: Starlink Monthly Charge

T-Mobile stock has done quite well. It has nearly doubled since 2023. I do think that there will be a parting of the ways - similar but different to Legere. Legere was the person who could sell / promote T-Mobile and got out once T-Mobile / Sprint deal was done (and cashed out). That was his purpose. Mike on the other hand is dealing with the financial reality of deals from Legere's era. (Uncarrier) and cost of the merger and trying to build/deploy and make T-Mobile into ... a carrier, not unlike AT&T and Verizon and eat their lunch. Subscribers are getting weary of this, however, and T-Mobile's customer service just isn't there.. its more like Sprint in that department, but more of 'take it or leave (it)' attitude.111Views0likes0CommentsRe: GO5G plans are no longer in the promotion details
Welcome to much of the club. This is how T-Mobile 'entices' you to move to a newer plan. If you want almost any form of upgrade discount (except maybe the lowest devices), you'll need to be on the updated plans AND have a trade in often. Older plans had fees added (/line activation), and increased prices of $5/line, while newer plans 'appear' to be not much more .. they add +20/month of fees/taxes. The old saying goes .. the grass is greener on the other side.43Views0likes4CommentsRe: Is "T-Mobile Home Internet Community" Website Legit?

I probably would have liked to be on this community. I did return my gateway (can't remember if it was 5th or 7th gateway returned since start of 4G LTE Home Internet days). Sadly, the traffic filtering of VPN as well as local tower 'powering down 5GUC' (5g N41) every night, and a handful of outages this year (+3 weeks for explanation - only through T-Mobile Business), basically sent me back to using Spectrum ðŸ˜55Views0likes0CommentsRe: Price increase Magenta 55+ rate was guaranteed
Sadly, I was on the original T-Mobile One plan, in which the CEO himself went to Vegas and made a few statements that T-Mobile squirm out of: https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/un-carrier-next New Rule: Only YOU Should Have the Power to Change What You Pay – Introducing Un-contract for T-Mobile ONE - Prices this year added $5/line - I didn't have the power to change what I pay. Today, T-Mobile introduced the Un-contract for T-Mobile ONE – and notched another industry first with the first-ever price guarantee on an unlimited 4G LTE plan. With the Un-contract, T-Mobile signs, and customers hold all the power. Now, T-Mobile ONE customers keep their price until THEY decide to change it. T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay.112Views0likes0CommentsRe: Be Careful when returning defective gateway routers
I've been through 1/2 dozen gateways since they started this service with the on similar to what you posted, traded in at the store for the G4SE to get an external antenna. Then after October 2024, replaced at least 5x due to buggy patches which kills Cisco Anyconnect VPN. Finally cancelled / returned on March 15 to the local store, after 1 month of working with T-MObile ERT team due to outages and gateway issues. ERT Team verified that I cancelled the service. May 22, I receive a text from T-Mobile 'warning' that if I didn't return equipment that they would charge me $220. I immediately call T-Mobile CS (chat passes me off asking to wait ), but in writing claim that they have received my gateway, and I wouldn't be charged. June 3, I get my bill with $241 of extra charges for non-returned equipment. I then again contact T-Mobile - Chat messages tell me to 'wait a few days'. I dial 611, they too tell me to wait. I get a supervisor, and demand it be removed immediately. They did after +30 min of hassle blaming it on the warehouse. +2 months with assurances mean nothing90Views0likes0CommentsRe: SOS only at my new house and street
It can be (depending on the issue), and if they believe that it is a long duration , they should have Emergency COW/,COLT to cover (i would recommend asking, as well as finding the tower in question). short duration can be often resolved remotely or small equipment change (i had this issue), but TMobile gave excuse of power outage, modernization, fiber cut... when it reality, it was equipment failure. Longer ones took +6 months , and others were decommissioned towers that local tech weren't aware of117Views0likes0Comments
