14 TopicseSim stuck on "Activating" on iPhone from EU
Hello there! My wife is facing problems when activating her eSim for T-Mobile US Prepaid. She already chose a plan, payed, the new phone number was successfully set up but now (since 12h) she’s still in the process of “Activating”. I did the same and after waiting some minutes in the “Activating” process all went fine. What shod we do now? We’re currently located in Germany and will travel to US soon; I’ve activated using WIFI + Vodafone (as local operator), she tried with WIFI + O2-DE (as local operator); I’m not sure if/how cell towers differs to allow mine to succeed and hers to fail. I’ve read here and there that there might be a way to get a QR code to re-initialise the process, but I have no idea how/where to get it. Please let me know, any kind of support is much appreciated, thank you :)3.3KViews0likes3CommentsUsing European eSim with locked phone?
I’ve just pre-ordered one of the new Samsung phones. In order to receive the biggest discounts from T-Mobile I needed to buy it on a 24 month installment plan, so I assume that it will be locked to T-Mobile for that time period. I will be traveling in Europe for ~2 months, and may want to purchase a data only eSim while I’m there instead of relying solely on my T-Mobile international data. Will European eSim work with my locked phone?Solved2.9KViews0likes11CommentsT-Mobile Prepaid esim APP - payment from Europe
Hi I would like to buy a prepaid eSIM card for my travel to the US, but I am living in Europe (Czech Republic) and when I get to the payment step in the mobile app and enter my credit card number, it just says “invalid card number”. I am 100% sure the number is correct, the payment card is valid and activated. Is it some kind of a bug or is it not designated for Europe customers? I haven’t found Czech Republic in the countries listed in the payment step.Solved999Views0likes3CommentsTraveling to France with Magenta Max and iPhone 13
I want to use my iPhone in France for text messaging, web surfing and google maps (I hardly ever make or receive phone calls). When I land in France, will my iPhone and plan just continue to work or do I need to something? I want to confirm what I read. My understanding is that with Magenta Max, phone calls in and out will be $0.25 per minute, text messaging and data are free, but at much slower network speeds. Is this accurate or do I need to buy an international plan?899Views0likes1CommentStarting date prepaid plan - eSIM app
Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a prepaid plan via the eSim app for a six month stay in the US. I would like to purchase the plan ahead of time, so it activates on the arrival date and is ready to use when I land. As far as I can tell there is no way to set a starting date when purchasing the plan and it would be activated straight away. Is this the case or am I missing something? Other providers (like for example simly) provide the option to set an activation date. Otherwise I would have to deal with this upon arrival, when i have other things to do and need a working connection right away. Also i would like to know if there is a plan, which includes a flat for calls to Europe (Germany) or at least reduced international rates? As far as I can tell, there are only plans with flats for US calls only. Thanks for any help, best.666Views0likes5CommentsTmobile europe data and texting useless!
Only reason I have tmobile is so that I can still use my phone when I’m in Europe. I’ve been dealing with their terrible rural service just for this reason. When I arrived in France, I received a text from tmobile saying I have 2g internet and texting free. It worked for the first 2 days then stopped. I finally called tmobile and they tell me my service is through other network operators and they have basically blacklisted me. I’ve tried every operator possible and no internet. Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t advertise you have international data and texting when you don’t! I will be changing providers when the next phone deals hit.499Views0likes2Comments
