Starting date prepaid plan - eSIM app
Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a prepaid plan via the eSim app for a six month stay in the US. I would like to purchase the plan ahead of time, so it activates on the arrival date and is ready to use when I land. As far as I can tell there is no way to set a starting date when purchasing the plan and it would be activated straight away. Is this the case or am I missing something? Other providers (like for example simly) provide the option to set an activation date. Otherwise I would have to deal with this upon arrival, when i have other things to do and need a working connection right away. Also i would like to know if there is a plan, which includes a flat for calls to Europe (Germany) or at least reduced international rates? As far as I can tell, there are only plans with flats for US calls only. Thanks for any help, best.
eSim stuck on "Activating" on iPhone from EU
Hello there! My wife is facing problems when activating her eSim for T-Mobile US Prepaid. She already chose a plan, payed, the new phone number was successfully set up but now (since 12h) she’s still in the process of “Activating”. I did the same and after waiting some minutes in the “Activating” process all went fine. What shod we do now? We’re currently located in Germany and will travel to US soon; I’ve activated using WIFI + Vodafone (as local operator), she tried with WIFI + O2-DE (as local operator); I’m not sure if/how cell towers differs to allow mine to succeed and hers to fail. I’ve read here and there that there might be a way to get a QR code to re-initialise the process, but I have no idea how/where to get it. Please let me know, any kind of support is much appreciated, thank you :)
Removing simlock from iphone
Hello, I bought Iphone se 2020 in Europe in Poland from a guy, that said it had a simlock. I think he got it from unknown source. I didn’t know it was T-mobile sprint simlock. Is there a chance, that T-mobile can remove it without problem if phone isn’t blacklisted and I’m not T-mobile client?
What do I need to do when traveling to Europe?
I’m trying to figure out what I need to travel to Europe and be on a cruise. I will need data to map things out, look up restaurants, access emails, send and receive texts. I have the Wi-Fi package on the ship but don’t know how to limit to use that when on ship and what I do when in ports? Airplane mode + a data package?
Not receiving all short messages SMS verification codes from Europe only some
November 2022 this worked fine and for years I used it. Now I may get one code in a day or two and no more. I talked to support and opened a case ticket. I tried twitter as well and they said its not supposed to work based on CTIA standards. This is strange since it worked fine for years and started to have issues this year. Any help/guidance will be appreciated! Thanks
