Home Internet disconnect
Home internet worked flawlessly for about 2 months. Great speeds and didn’t drop connection. At some point speeds started to dwindle and gateway would disconnect and reboot. T-Mobile sent out new gateway. Speeds are better, but it disconnects several (5-20) times a day. Today tech support told me too bad, find another provider if you don’t like it. I’ve been a T-Mobile customer for over 20 years. I just want it to work as advertised and I know it can, because it did for a while. Question: would an external antenna help with the dropped connection?

I feel your pain. We had great service for 1 year. Then 2.5 months this summer it was crazy up and down. They sent a new gateway and service was flawless for 1.5 months. Then we had some rain and 5G went out on a Friday and 5 days later it magically returned and has been great again. During the down time we had 1-4mbps down and I contacted support. They finally said they opened a ticket. Then the service came back so I sent message it was back. Then today I receive a message - a week later - that there is an issue in the area and unfortunately the service we are receiving is probably the best we will have. What??? Well I hope support is correct as we are getting 100-180mbps down. I’m good with that. I think TMobile support has totally checked out and just say whatever they feel like saying.
