5g home internet - phone not autoconnecting..

Hi all, I just got 5g home internet yesterday. I notice that when leaving home and coming back, my phone does not auto connect to the network. Yes, my phone is configured to auto connect to it, and on my previous internet (AT&T) it auto connected fine when I returned home.

To connect my phone to the internet when I get home, I have to go to my phone wifi, then click on the network (the password is already saved). It then connects.

Are there any tips or things to check out so that my phone (its a Pixel 3a with Android) will automatically re-connect to this 5g gateway?
