I called TMo today and they sent a network reset to my phone where my phone disconnected completely from all networks, then reconnected. After that and a reboot I was able to text normally. Might be worth trying.
I have contact support 3 times & gone to get a physical new SIM card. It seems my issue began on June 19th or June 20th, the 20th being more likely. Since contacting support on my last attempt to correct this, they transferred me to Samsung support for my Ultra 24, & they left the three way for Samsung to agree this is a Server Specific related issue. This is most likely a tower sinc either seems multiple t-mobile users are effected.
At the time it occurred, I had not updated or required any update. I received a trigger to update in early July hoping that would fix it, as they referenced bugs being corrected but alas.
Only specific recipients are unable to receive TEXT MESSAGES only; they can still receive my GIFs and any Images I send. So far these contacts are both using Apple iPhone & Samsung phones. Contacts are so far on different carriers being: At&t, Verizon & StraightTalk. I have about a total of 5-10 contacts they are effected & at this point, a carrier change is imminent for myself (why I purchased a 2k unlocked phone).
I have troubleshooted by having network turned off (each time it was an action I had to complete as the rep was unable to "trigger" ) - I have turned off & on my data, restarted & even had an update with no correction. Initially all my texts appeared to send fine, but now I can see who is NOT getting my texts as they appear as Wifi-connected when sent, even if it was not (only those not getting them have this common "white bubble sent text" versus the typically blue background bubble text sent to recipient.
Lastly, for clarity, it seems I am receiving all recipients texts, it's just a select few who do not receive mine.
I am having the exact same issue. I have a Samsung 6 fold and am on the AT&T network. Only AT&T customers receive my group text but no one else receives them on other carriers. I can send photos and gifs but not texts. Spoke with at&t five different times, new Sim card, factory reset, everything and nothing has worked so far. Any ideas on how to fix? Extremely frustrating.
