Tablets that can be used like a phone
Are there any tablets folks have used that work like a phone to make and receive phone calls. Not talking about voip whatsapp or Hang outs or Skype. Basically an LTE device fully functional wit...
Ah. That's kinda tricky because when we set up the tablets, the lines are created with plans that do not have voice capability included. So, even with a pre-installed or downloaded dialing app, trying to call from the tablet will result in an error message.
I have suggested to T-Mobile to have tablets that just have voice for old people like me who have to run and get glasses every time I get a phone call or text message. Hopefully they will take action to do this. I do not care if it connects to the internet by cell. This way the phone industry will be protected. Most people who buy smart phones want them to also connect to the internet by cell. And they want to be able to easily carry them. Tablets are not the answer for them. Older people who have a hard time seeing up close would benefit from a tablet that is a cell phone. Not only could they see who is calling or what notifications they are getting and if they actually dial the correct number, they could enjoy the camera feature and the photos on the phone. Nothing that is done easy for seniors with up close seeing problems.
