How to get a non-bot for support to transfer to AT&T
Tmobile has never worked well where I live (13 miles from their Bellevue, WA headquarters) so I’m switching back to A&T. When I call I get the message "The service you are attempting to use has been restricted or is unavailable. Please contact customer care for assistance.". So I try to use the chat but it is a bot that doesn’t understand the complex statement “Please help me transfer my phone to AT&T”.
How can I get help transferring to AT&T?
You need to call AT&T to iniate the port. You want to do this a few days before the end of your billing cycle. Once ported you call Tmobile to confirm that the line is ported out and close account.

Tmobile won't help you port out, you need the carrier you want to go to iniate the port. Just have all the information for your Tmobile account so the port goes smoothly.

thank you so much! I’ll do so.
I tried to mark it as Best answer but the checkmark is disabled.
