Internet Apps

T-Mobile’s Internet apps allow you to access your gateway, adjust your settings, check your usage, and more!

 T-Life app

The T-Life app is the easiest way to set up your Internet service. It also provides access to other T-Mobile perks such as T-Mobile Tuesdays, and innovations like the ability to manage your gateway anytime, anywhere.

  • You can view and change gateway settings and Wi-Fi network management options. The gateway must be connected to the T-Mobile Network and able to receive data.
  • Internet Plus customers MUST use the T-Life app.
  • Customers with the Askey Gateway should use the T-Mobile Internet app. If you haven’t already downloaded the T-Mobile Internet app, you will need to use the Askey Web GUI.

Log in to the T-Life app to get started

  1. Go to the T-Life app.
  2. Sign in with your T-Mobile ID to manage all settings in the app. Small Business Internet customers do not need to sign in with a T-Mobile ID.
  3. On the Home screen, scroll down and select the Home Internet icon.

  • The 5G gateway is pre-configured with a single Wi-Fi network, which functions on both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz frequencies and supports intelligent band steering.

    • 2.4 GHz is used by older wireless standards and technologies (802.11 b/g/n) and provides the signals that reach the furthest but provide the lowest speeds.
    • 5 GHz is available to devices using the latest wireless standards like 802.11ac and some older standards (802.11 a/n). The 5 GHz frequency band provides wireless signals that have a shorter reach than 2.4GHz, but the highest speeds/best performance.

Some older devices and smart devices only connect to a Wi-Fi network using 2.4GHz frequency. For these devices, use the T-Mobile Internet app to set up separate networks. Check out our tutorials for steps to create additional Wi-Fi networks.

    1. From the T-Mobile Internet App, select MORE > Gateway information.
    2. Review the Firmware version.
