Re: Old T-Mobile Internet App works, New T-Life app Doesn't
yesh - I got the nag and the TM App was screen blocked and nagged to download the new T-Life..... and then I can get TM TUESDAYS - yup - some marketing genius figured it was a direct pipeline to users, not a functional decision - but a marketing one - I have NOT downloaded T-LIFE as yet... and probably will live without it -109Views0likes0CommentsExternal IP address - expiration or changes?
I recently stumbled into the TM problem with SMTP sending emails - and having our TM Gateway and it's external IP address being blocked as per the internet Spam databases. Rebooting the TM gets us a different external IP address and all is good for sending SMTP emails again. https://whatismyipaddress.com/ Was wondering if our gateway external IP address expires after X number of days - or how long are we able to hold the same external IP address ?74Views0likes0CommentsRe: T-mobile gateway with seperate router
I have the TM black router/gateway that has the IP range for 192.168.12. - I wish we could have access to the settings and change the DHCP range... different discussion. I also have my original Asus wireless router - with it's network of 192.168.1. - I have some hardcoded devices on that 1. network - so when I want to access them, I change my WiFi to which network I want to use... a pain - Which I could combine them into a single device -349Views0likes0CommentsRe: gmail SMTP fails with T-Mobile home network
just got hit with this issue - April 2025 - just a normal ISP and SMTP auth on port 587 - sent emails, and they were never received. Everything seems ok - but the sent emails just disappear... not bounced. Now I send a BCC to myself to verify SMTP is working. Then keep a list of the External IP address - for OK or Blocked.... It seems like we keep the IP for a couple of days, then must "expire" and we get a new one... can see the External IP address in our testing email headers, and I can also see it - for changing - with an App showing External IP.72Views0likes0CommentsRe: Black gateway + another router network
Wish I could Edit my reply, but can’t as yet… with my 2nd AP, if I want to use it, I just change my wifi connection to the other SSID, and when done, come back to the TM SSID as our normal connection. Was looking for a way to connect both networks together and just access using a single SSID .134Views0likes0CommentsBlack gateway + another router network
We have the basic black internet gateway sitting at 192.168.12. we also have another private wifi access point printer router network sitting at 192.168.1. can we plug this other router into the RJ45 on the back of and have the TM router actually route to the other 168.1 printer network ?265Views0likes4CommentsHad to replace silver gateway
I’ve had the original silver “coffee can” T-Mobile 5G home internet gateway for 2 years. Recently, most of the smart devices at home went offline. Tried rebooting and even factory reset on the gateway- nope. Well… since nothing was working except iPhones iPad & laptop - no Roku, thermostat, cameras, garage door, smart plugs and lights… went to T-Mobile store to swap - they didn’t have any older models. They didn’t know who had what at any other stores. So, I started calling each T-Mobile store - found a TM Store that had the refurb black model as all older gateways are being phased out of inventory. Picked it up and was driving home when it hit me … what was wrong - only our iPhones IPad and Windows laptop worked, all other devices could no longer connect or even SEE the gateway. It must be the 2.4 radio went bad. EUREKA - All these devices only use 2.4 but our iPhone can do 2.4 or 5.0 - Plugged new gateway in, power up and changed SSID to match old settings - and bingo - all devices back online … WOW -73Views0likes0Commentsfinding TMobile cell tower locations
Happen to run across this cell tower locator…. https://www.cellmapper.net/map?MCC=310&MNC=260 1 - you have to turn off any AD Blockers. 2 - DO NOT download anything…. sketchy Ads 3 - you DO NOT have to Log In - to anything 3 - scroll down and enter your “Location Search” (city & state) and it should show you a local map AND the location of any towers and their bands...102KViews2likes6Comments
