gmail SMTP fails with T-Mobile home network

just got hit with this issue - April 2025 - just a normal ISP and SMTP auth on port 587 - sent emails, and they were never received.
Everything seems ok - but the sent emails just disappear... not bounced.
Now I send a BCC to myself to verify SMTP is working. Then keep a list of the External IP address - for OK or Blocked....
It seems like we keep the IP for a couple of days, then must "expire" and we get a new one... can see the External IP address in our testing email headers, and I can also see it - for changing - with an App showing External IP.
