Please let me know if you are fixing the blocked text message problem. According to the post below, others are having this same problem. I have a ticket open and have been without outgoing texts for 9 days. https://community.t-mobile.com/accounts-services-4/t-mobile-system-blocking-text-messages-stating-they-are-spam-41347?sort=dateline.asc#comments6.7KViews5likes53CommentsRegularly charged for undelivered text messages from T-Mobile short code 2519
Hi there, I am losing money from my T-Mobile prepaid service because T-Mobile sends automated text messages from short code 2519 every month, sometimes even twice a month. I have an old $3 pay by the day plan, where I am charged only on days I use my phone. I understand that receiving a text message is considered as “using” my phone. But in my case, the phone is turned off most of the time and I even selected the option to block incoming text messages for my line in blocking controls of my account to avoid being charged for unwanted text messages. Every day T-Mobile sends this automated message to my (switched off) phone (which I’ll never receive), $3 are deducted from my prepaid balance. That drained at least $18 out of my balance so far. For a long time I was not sure what causes this money loss and suspected a fault in the prepaid billing system. Then i noticed in the activity log of line details on my account, that text messages from 12519 were sent to my number and obvisiously caused the misdetected useage of my phone (even though it was turned off during that time and in the follwing days). That made me wonder how this can be happening, since I activated blocking all incoming text messages before. After some research I learned, that short codes cannot be blocked by this blocking control on the account. So I called customer service and it took me around 30 minutes to address this “ordeal” to the representative, until she finally understood my problem. What she suggested was explicitly blocking this short code (12519 as it appeared in my activity log), which she offered to set up for me. I agreed, so she set up the blocking filter and promised me I’ll never receive any messages from this short code again. Problem solved, so I thought. Now I just lost another $3 for (never) receiving a text message from the same short code again which should be blocked. Further research about the origin of short code 12519 did not lead to anything. Then I finally found an old, archived text message on my phone from short code 2519, which I received last year wihle the phone was switched on at the time the message was sent. Funny enough this is just a reminder message from T-Mobile saying ”T-Mobile: For further information about blocking third-party charges and ways to prevent fraud you can visit t-mo.co/Blocking”. Now I can see it all… 12519, as displayed in the line activity log on my account was wrong… it should be 2519 (the leading 1 in the activiy log is perhaps the country code for the U.S.). With research into 2519 I found out, that this is a T-Mobile short code for T-Mobile campaigns. It is ridiculous, that an unwanted message from T-Mobile telling me ybout options to prevent charges from third parties costs me a lot of money, coming not from a third party but from T-Mobile itself. I think if they send those messages without signing up to it they should count as free messages and not count towards the useage of my phone and cost $3 each time. One could think they do that on purpose to push people out of the old prepaid day plans. So how can I get rid of those messages, that are sent regularly to my number by T-Mobile and cost me a lot of money. I doubt that customer service would block short code 2519 if I ask them to, because it is an internal T-Mobile code. Maybe sending STOP to that short code could help, but trying this will cost me abother $3 with no guarantee it’ll work. There should be some way to get rid of all messages from any of the numerous T-Mobile campaign short codes. Any suggestions, anyone? Thanks to all the can help, Chris630Views0likes2CommentsTexts Not Being Received By Others But Pictures Are?
Hello all, I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro. I have been having a problem since yesterday morning, where text messages are seemingly being sent, but never received by the other person. However, if I send them a picture (gif, screenshot, etc), they DO receive that. I have no problem receiving texts or pictures from anyone it seems. I have gone as far as to perform a factory reset on my phone (ugh) and today it is still happening. I do not know what else I can check. I have verified that I have not blocked the person, nor does the person have me blocked on their end. I am very confused. At first I thought it was only to Apple device users, but then other people seemed to not be receiving messages either.Solved1.9KViews0likes15CommentsMessage Blocking activated but I can't undo it
When I try to send text messages to my son and/or his wife, I immediately receive the message that Message Blocking is active. But when I look at the list of phone numbers that I HAVE blocked from texts, phone or FaceTime, their numbers do not appear. This only occurred after I purchased the new iPhone13. Previous to that I have had no issue in sending texts to them. I am able to send texts to my other contacts. The only unique thing about my son and daughter-in-law is that their phone numbers are in area code 630 while their sisters are in area code 616.121KViews1like22CommentsText messages are randomly delayed by up to a day
I've been seeing this off and on for months in group texts mostly, but also in direct texts as well. The problem is that text messages are often delayed by up to 24 hours and then dumped all at once into my phone. This is looking to be a TMobile issue. I'm on an iPhone 11 Pro with the latest version of iOS. To sum up: This is only with text messages, not iMessage or other messaging apps. This happens when I have a good signal and a wifi connection in my house, but it has also happened when I'm out and have only cellular, but still a good signal. The other people in group chats are spread across numerous different carriers. None of them have reported this. The usual phone troubleshooting steps (quit the Messages application, restart the phone, etc) do absolutely nothing. I checked the activity logs in my TMobile account. The text messages in question all came through at the same time according to the logs. It looks like it's somehow getting delayed inside of TMobile's system. I've missed some texts due to this that were relatively time-sensitive. I don't think I need to express my frustration at something as old and dead-simple as SMS/MMS getting screwed up like this. It also doesn't help my frustration when the browser based Places/Topics Browser is hopelessly broken and the page I'm using to write this keeps auto-scrolling down when I interact with a number of elements on the page.44KViews22likes38CommentsLegacy Pay As You Go Mysterious Random Outgoing SMS Messaging Charges
I am one of those who still have the legacy Pay As You Go. It is not my primary number but I keep it since I like the number. So, I almost never use it. I keep about $10 in it. Today I was trying to make a phone call and it said I did not have enough money. I checked my account and it was at 0 balance. If I look under Line Details → View Your Usage, it says “No records found.” I left the Billing Cycle filter out. However, at one point, I got to the Transaction History screen (can’t find my way back now), it had a bunch of “DomesticUsage”, Outgoing, Usage Type: Message charges. It seems they are on random days and most were 0.10. The online rep: said that this meant I sent texts on those days said they did not keep records on which numbers the texts were sent to would not believe me when I told her I did not tried to sell me a monthly plan 😂 It seems others might have this problem too: https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/158dw8l/my_mom_has_a_legacy_payasyougo_prepaid_plan_but/ and I have had an episode with them a few years ago that made me not trust their billing system. I ended up asking the Rep to disable incoming and outgoing texts and put more money in. Beware!597Views0likes2Comments@tmomail.net not working
I’ve been sending to a plain/text email to my SMS via number@tmomail.net everyday for years, and it has stopped working the last couple of weeks. My email server replies with this: The following address failed: ###########@tmomail.net: multiple delivery attempts failed A few messages have gone through, but most of them fail. I’ve tried sending from different email accounts and they all fail. Seems like Tmobile’s server is down. Are there any workarounds?2.6KViews1like7CommentsWhy I am not receiving OTP/text messages on my Tmobile prepaid sim(15$Every Month Plan) while In India

Our business uses SMS messages to send notifications to customers regarding some events. It seems that when we send a message out via Twilio . . it mostly works. The problem is this: If I copy one of the links and paste it into an SMS and hit send. It doesn’t go out. I’ve tried typing our domain in manually and sending an SMS with only a link to our top level domain and it doesn’t work. www.dripjobs.com app.dripjobs.com https://www.dripjobs.com https://app.dripjobs.com530Views1like4Commentssms
