On multiple occasions after transitioning from an international roaming networkto the T-Mobile network, I experience data connectivity issues for significant amount of time afterwards. Is there any tips on mitigating these network transition issues as they can come at quite inconvenient times where quick access to records are needed (boarding pass, reservation confirmation, email, etc). Going in and out of airplane mode doesn’t help. Restarting phone sometimes helps but this shouldn’t need to be constant fall-back. Interestingly, I haven’t haddata connectivity issues transitioning from the T-Mobile network to International Roaming Networks.98Views0likes2CommentsKicked off of Roaming while deployed
Hello all I am currently deployed to a location in the middle east, and I have the Magenta Max Military plan. Initially, I was able to use mobile data for roaming, but now it seems I have 0 connection and it constantly says “searching.” My WiFi availability is VERY spotty, so I really am trying to rely on the LTE for text messages (for 2FA) and other things. I started to notice that whenever I was connected to a vodafone network, I would get kicked off shortly thereafter. My job requires me to have 24/7 availability by phone, so this situation is leading me to miss critical phone calls because I simply don’t notice that I’ve been kicked off the network until I check my phone. What am I doing wrong here? I’m on a Samsung Galaxy S24. Now when I am trying to connect to the network (even after restarting my phone, resetting network settings, turning mobile radio on/off), I just see a “DENIED” status under Data Raw Registration State and Voice Raw Registration State. Please help, I thought I’d be able to rely on international roaming with T-mobile to maintain connectivity. I really don't have to have to purchase an additional sim card for the area.86Views0likes2CommentsT-Mobile's international travel plans vs eSims
eSims have gained in popularity. Our T-mobile plan includes free data while traveling in Europe (we’re U.S. based) but 25 cents a minute for phone calls is expensive. Does T-Mobile have some other International plan for phone calls and how does that compare to our getting a local eSim carrier?7.2KViews0likes6CommentsConfused re: when to turn roaming on
I have the One plan and have added on the 30 day international plan. I was told to turn on Roaming and then once I turn on my phone in Italy, I can make calls/texts, etc. When should I turn on roaming - at the the US airport before I actually leave for Italy and then turn on airport mode? OR turn on roaming once I arrive in Italy and after I turn on airport mode? I’m so confused.Solved156Views0likes1Commenteurope cellular data service not working
I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 running latest version Android. I was told by T Mobile that my US cellular plan provided free unlimited data and texting, but neither is working correctly in Europe. They do work when on WiFi, but not when in cellular mode. Phone says no Internet service, but time and date are correct, so phone must be communicating with the network. Funny thing is my wife’s Apple iPhone is working under the same service plan without any issue. I have verified that the Data Roaming switch is on/enabled under Connections > Mobile Networks. What am I missing??? Thanks in advance for any help since I need data service on my trip in Europe!2.7KViews0likes6CommentsInternational Data
Currently travelling in Italy and upon arrival I received the standard welcome message “Your plan includes coverage that gives you unlimited data On Us now at faster speeds up to 256Kbps, plus unlimited texts at no extra cost!” Just want to make sure that I am reading this correctly, I have free text and data while here? What if I make a call through whatsapp or FB? As long as I don’t make a call through the local carrier then I should not have any additional charges, correct?76Views0likes0CommentsHow to enable International Pass.
I purchased the 30 day International Pass. The agent gave the following instructions… When you arrive at your foreign destination do the following... 1. Turn off Mobile Data. 2. Turn on Data Roaming. 3. Restart your phone. This seems overly complicated and I can’t find these instructions written anywhere. Are these instructions correct?621Views0likes0Comments
