T-Mobile non return fee on gareway scam
This happened to me too! I returned the device via prepaid label to their address in Texas in Jan. 2023. They did not take off the monthly internet $50 access. Because we are on auto billing I did not think to look at each individual line item and noticed in June 2024 that we had been charged $50 for 18 months for internet access on the returned tower! Then they said they received the device in October 2023 although I shipped it back in January. The phone agent confirmed that no mobile data had been used since before Jan 2023. They credited me $150 of the $900 owed.🤬 Fast forward to October 2024 billing and they charged me for the returned device saying it was damaged. It was NOT damaged and was returned Jan 2023. I'm livid. We are leaving their service and I want to sue. What can I do?

UPDATE - finally got a call from corporate office in Washington. The agent confirmed that they did receive my tower back in January of 2023 (when I shipped it), that it was not damaged, and that they would not reimburse me for the 18 months of $50 per month internet fees. The agent said our return label was not correctly linked to our account and was not marked as a return, so the warehouse did not know what to do with it. If the process was done correctly the internet charges would have been removed and we would not have continued to be charged. We will be suing T-Mobile for the remaining months owed us as well as all of the time I have spent trying to get a refund. We are now Verizon customers. AVOID T-MOBILE! THEY PLACE FRAUDULENT CHARGES ON YOUR ACCOUNT AND WILL NOT REFUND THEM.
