Is Home Internet unreliable for everyone?

I’m in a rural part of NC and have had TMHI for about 2 years.   I give it pretty high marks, especially considering the price.  There have been a few occasions where the service has dropped out or has been slow, but that has been quite rare.  A few months ago, a fiber service became available at my address, but it’s about 10 bucks a month more than TMHI.   So far, I have no reason to switch.  I realize as a cellular service everyone’s experience is different, but I would rate my experience as very good.
