HP 6500 OfficeJet 710n Printer won't connect to TM Wifi/Gateway

In my case, I created a separate 2.4Ghz SSID and called it “Printers” with WPA/WPA2 security settings, then restarted both my printer and the gateway, and it worked for me.
Yes...that setting is in place. Still no connection. The printer report says NO FILTERING...FAIL.
The TM tech guy said something about turning off mac filtering but I don’t know how to do that.
