Will iphone 8 work on 5G

I currently have an iphone 8 and was wondering if I need to upgrade to a newer iphone when 5G is rolled out? Thanks, Eric

Only iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 are capable of 5G.

But your iPhone 8 should still work fine on 4G LTE.
