Cellular Data not working-even changed phones
My kids were given Moto G Pure phones last year in Sept. As of the beginning of this year for no particular reason the cellular data we pay for is spotty at best, but mostly doesn’t work. My husband and I have Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 - no issues.
My son’s Pure crapped out a few weeks back and we switched his SIM card into an old Pixel 3 was had as a back up, and STILL no data.
Any ideas why this is happening?
(FYI, past 10 years we’ve lived - and still live - right on Lake Michigan, but have never had data issues like this with any carrier)

like Cat pointed out you pretty much diagnosed it yourself already. 2 devices work fine in the same area..you swapped the sim card to a different phone and it still didnt work..the main factor that followed is the sim card. willing to bet if you put his sim card into one of your phones it wouldnt work still. and vise versa..if you put one of your sim cards into his phone odds are it would work fine.

So only one of the Pure phones doesn’t work and the SIM card from that phone doesn’t work either? If yes, then you may need a new SIM card. This is not uncommon for a SIM card to fail. I would contact TMO directly to resolve and make sure they don’t charge you for a new one.
