cant use my phone outside

Sitting on my front porch I can't use my phone, in my yard, in my driveway,  etc. What's the issue? I've complained over and over and nothing happens but I'm still paying outrageous phone bills. Consumer Cellular looks really good right now. Tmoble way over priced

  • If it works inside your home (WiFi?), and not around your home, I’ll assume that you have either weak to no service at your billing address  (check your coverage at https://t-mobile.com/coverage )

Is this something ‘new’, or has it occurred forever at this location ?

You can check with customer care / technical support to osee what your options are.  In general, if its always been this way (or since Sprint was sold), you may need to seek another carrier, as @drnewcomb has stated.  If it did work before … get T-Mobile to fix what is not working.

  • Every carrier has places where their signal does not reach. This even applies to Iridium satellite service. While T-Mobile has been improving their rural coverage, they are still behind AT&T and Verizon in most rural markets. If your phone works inside, I’d ask if you have been connecting to your home WiFi signal?

T-Mobile does not helicopter out a team of engineers because a customer complains. They already know where their coverage sucks and they have their plans. Gottes Mühlen mahlen langsam, mahlen aber trefflich klein,

If your phones are unlocked, it may be that a MVNO that uses AT&T’s or Verizon’s signal would serve you better.
