Can I use the number provided to make calls
Don’t think so. Even the prior 4G LTE home internet, which had a phone jack wasn’t provisioned for calling. This is actually a missed opportunity on T-Mobile.
In rural areas, they could actually port old AT&T POTS service. Sadly, I think they have partnered with OOMA for VoIP. Days of the POTS line are diminishing.
I don’t think the sim is provisioned for calling but you can try and report back.
