Unlocked the phone

If you mean, needs a SIM unlock so it can be used with other service providers. You will want to return it to the person you purchased it from. T-Mobile’s SIM Unlock Policy requirements require you to meet all of the conditions, you mut be a current customer of T-Mobile, and you must have purchased the device from T-Mobile.
