Is there an easy way to search for an old text message?
Two questions:
- I need to find a text message from about two years ago. I save them all, so I know it’s in there, but I wondered if there is an easier way than just scrolling backwards for hours and hours?
- Is there any way to download text messages? This is for a legal case.
Open Messages. Pull down just a bit. There is a Search bar.
You can’t download, but there are a few alternatives.

Okay I’m so old. I am not sure what Google Messages is?
My phone is an Apple iphone XR.
If you use Google messages you can search by name and you can download an app called SMS back up and restore to save them to an email account and you can print them.
