How to switch to new phone
I have an iPhone 7 and am going to purchase an unlocked iPhone SE. Aside from moving the SIM card is there anything else I need to do? You’d think T-Mobile would explain this in the FAQ, but I could not find it.
No. T-Mobile makes it incredibly easy to switch devices. Take your SIM out of your old device and put it in the new one, if it fits. It's just that simple.

Hello,
When switching from an iPhone 7 to an unlocked iPhone SE, here’s what you need to do:
SIM Card Transfer:
As you mentioned, move your existing SIM card from the iPhone 7 to the new iPhone SE.
This step ensures that your phone number and cellular service are carried over.
Backup and Restore (Optional):
If you want to transfer your data (apps, contacts, photos, etc.) from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone SE, consider doing a backup and restore.
Back up your iPhone 7 using iCloud or iTunes.
Set up your new iPhone SE and choose the option to restore from the backup you just created.
Apple ID and iCloud:
Sign in with your Apple ID on the iPhone SE during setup.
This ensures that your iCloud data (such as contacts, calendars, and notes) syncs seamlessly.
Settings and Preferences:
Go through the initial setup process on the iPhone SE.
Set preferences for Wi-Fi, location services, Face ID or Touch ID, and other settings.
Apps and Updates:
Re-download your apps from the App Store on the iPhone SE.
Check for any available software updates to keep your device secure and up to date.
Enjoy Your New iPhone SE!
Remember, the SIM card transfer is the critical step, but the backup and restore process can make the transition smoother by bringing over your existing data.
Hope this will help you.
