My Samsung A51 cannot update system software

If I remember correctly, we got my wife’s A51 5G directly from T-Mobile (Sprint at the time?). It is listed as “complete” on the Android 13 page linked above.
Last night I tried using Samsung Smart Switch to upgrade it - besides it taking a long time to recognize there was an update for it, once it started it took hours to download (presumably to my Windows notebook) and never made it to the phone.
