UPS LOST MY RETURNED PHONE, I GOT CHARGED $1500. I AM FINISHED.
SInce May 2024 I have been charged for a phone I sent to Tmobile with assurant via UPS. T-Mobile said it could not find it and I got charged.
I have all the tracking numbers. I have a picture of the phone in the box with the IMEI with of the bad phone that I sent back. I’ve weighed a like phone in the same type box and the weight of the box+phone+ wrapping is about the same 1.2 pounds. T-mobile has the same receipt from UPS. T-Mobile won’t let me send the contemporaneous pictures. It says because it can’t trace the IMEI of the bad phone I am still liable.
It has the relationship with UPS. I Don’t (Ever try to get anything from UPS????) How long does it take someone in the Philippines to make the $1500 they are charging me. And, by the way, why do I have to be patiently waiting there?
I need a place in the US to talk to someone. We have 10 phones and After 27 years with Nextel and Sprint and great service, now I got shunted into T-Mobile and it looks like time for a divorce.
Geez they held up the entire staffs’ phones for their error.
Not a happy camper.

There is no need to post the same thing more than once. One posting is fine.
Did you reach out to UPS and have them investigate the missing device? Did you file a claim with UPS for the lost device? These devices are sent to a third party (Assurant) that checks them over and inventories them. It can take some time for T-Mobile to reach out to them to see if they received it or not?

Since May, when this began and I received the receipt from UPS that the phone had been delivered, the folks at T-Mobile were assuring me that they were looking for the phone.
Only in the last couple of weeks did they suggest that I contact UPS to make a claim. And last Friday lady at T-Mobile said they found everything and everything was fine (she even sent me a text). Today, I woke up with a $1700 outstanding bill and a demand to pay as my services were cut off.
And, why would I have to contact UPS when T-Mobile selected UPS as its carrier?

Even though T-Mobile selected UPS as the shipping partner. You were the one who packaged the devi e, dropped the package off at UPS, and obtained a drop off receipt. If it has been found and they do have the device. I would try reaching out to T-Mobile via DM on either Facebook or Twitter to see if they can help you further get to the bottom of this and get it resolved.

We just got off the phone with UPS who confirms that they delivered the phone and they are sending that confirmation. How do I send that to T-Mobile to get my money back?
How do you get on something like whatsappp or something else to get it resolved. Talking to them in person is fruitless - syaoranTransmission Titan

By the way, Syaoran, what is your position with T-Mobile?
Looking through all of the messages from folks who appear to be in similar situations, it seems that T-Mobile has a poor record with respect to phone returns.
I wonder if an enterprising lawyer or law firm would be kind enough to put together a class action? Just think if everyone got their $900 or $1400 back? - syaoranTransmission Titan

You're better off taking them to arbitration. Lawyers get most of the money from a class.
