Dear Go90 and Verizon,
Thank you. Seriously. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you for teaching us what NOT to do. As we get ready to disrupt cable and satellite TV with Layer3 TV, you have shown us so very much. It seems like just yesterday you were telling us how you were going to reinvent the [ad model](http://adage.com/article/media/inside-verizon-s-plans-reinvent-tv-ad-model-go90/300626/) or spending bajillions to [broadcast epic dunks](http://www.businessinsider.com/r-verizon-signs-content-deal-with-nba-for-video-streaming-app-go90-nyt-2015-11) or [hiring Matt Damon](https://variety.com/2016/digital/news/the-runner-go-verizon-mobile-reality-show-1201812755/) for original programming or [stuffing bloatware down our throats](https://www.theverge.com/2018/5/2/17310950/verizon-galaxy-s9-oath-bloatware-phones).
We had so many good times. Remember how Lowell used to say “the millennials” when he’d talk about you? Those were the days! We hardly knew you, and you’re already gone. I know the tens of people who watched you are probably pretty torn up right now, but I know they’ll get through. We’re pretty torn up too. You gave us so much to laugh about. So. Very. Much.
Farewell! And God speed!
Best,
John
