How do I rename my Home Network?
I have the T-Mobile 5G Home Wireless router. It is connected & working (I'm using it now.) Yesterday, for some inexplicable reason, my connection went down. The fix was to hit the reset button on the back of the router. Now, my router appears on the network under it's default ID and set to "Public". Everything I've found online on how to access & rename my network is "wrong". I have the "T-Life" app installed on my phone, but all the instructions I've found online tell you to "click the 'Network' button at the bottom" of the app. My app doesn't have a "Network" option on the menu. And I can't log into the Router itself to make these changes the way I used to when I had DSL (by entering my Router IP into my browser.) How do I set the name of my network? Please help.56Views0likes0CommentsRe: Help. T-Mobile WiFi app won't run on my Android 8 phone.
(Argh! I can’t log in w/o a T-Mobile phone number they can send a text message to. All I have is my Internet Gateway. So I can’t reply directly.) My LG V35 ThinQ is running Android 8.0. When I try running “Update” in Settings, it tells me it is “fully updated. No updates available.” No problems though. I got the bright idea this morning to install an Android Emulator on my PC, and it allowed me to install the “TLine app” from Google Play, Rename my network and create a 2.4G connection for my devices. 😎 Thx to all for the help.197Views0likes0CommentsHelp. T-Mobile WiFi app won't run on my Android 8 phone.
(And before you ask, no, my LG V35 phone can’t be upgraded.) I signed up for T-Mobile’s Home Internet. Works fine (I’m using it now, connected via Ethernet.) I even have the WiFi working and connected to my phone. T-Mobile is not my cell provider. I tried to download the T-Mobile app via Google Play, but it says my phone is not compatible. A call to T-Mobile tech support revealed it needs Android 9.0 or above. My phone is maxed at v8.0. I need the app to rename my Network and create a 2.4G connection to connect my Smart Home devices, but this can only be done via the app. ...or can it? Help. TIASolved286Views0likes3Comments
