My big gray cylinder 5G Home internet has good signal and works reliably. But some percent of websites I visit simply refuse to load via the TMo 5g device, yet they work fine if I use my Verizon cellphone data, or a coaxial cable modem (which I have not canceled service on yet). I am guessing it’s either a DNS issue between my Mac and the T-Mobile cylinder (eg: settings requiring technical help or updates), or a problem in the T-Mo network that is blocking some sites. After spending too many hours on the phone already with Tmo tech support for 5G Home, I am not excited about the prospect of engaging on the phone again. It takes too long, and the agents need more training and support. Has anyone experienced and solved this issue? Do you have technical insights? Is there actual written documentation somewhere that I could access? Thank you. (Honestly Tmo, you need to rethink your support infrastructure for 5G Home.)15KViews4likes84CommentsT-Mobile Internet - $200 Pre-Paid Mastercard - STILL WAITING
I switched to T-Mobile Internet over 3 months ago. The $200 Pre-paid Mastercard within 10 weeks was an incentive that led to me making this choice. It has been 12 weeks and I have not heard a thing. Has anyone had a similar experience? I am preparing to switch back to my previous provider if this is how they treat customers.16KViews14likes40CommentsTmobile 5g home internet + Xbox Series X not compatible
Thanks to T-Mobile’s Test Drive, I can try out the home internet for 15days. I’m getting good speeds and so far so good… I was really happy with the service until……… It’s not compatible with my Xbox Series X. Apps like YouTube, Twitch, Hulu all work. But if I want to play games online, that’s where it doesnt work. I get disconnected from the games respective servers. Doing a test on the network I get UPnP unavailable. I can retest until the UPnP is available but as soon as I start playing a game online, it disconnects. I see that I can attempt to connect a wireless router but I cannot control any settings on the App or if I log into router via a web browser. The only thing I can do is change names and passwords, but nothing else. Can a wireless router be connected to the gateway? If so, which brands will work best? There are other posts about this issue but no answer. I hope there is a solution or else the home internet goes back to T-Mobile and they will lose out on $50/month.20KViews3likes24CommentsI need T-mobile to fix my location issue
I’ve asked this question several times on here and I always get answers but I don’t understand the issue or how to resolve it. It is creating problems when I try and access a website where I can earn points, such as the one in this email from the company. I’m in Iowa where LD website accepts my entering info. for their contests and money saving reward but I’m being shown in Minnesota. I need this fixed but I can’t stay on hold forever with CS and they don’t seem to be of much help. Also, my billing went up $5 this month. Can someone please tell me in simple terms what I need to do. I’m older and technology has me stumped.. Thanks in advance Msg. from LG company The message you are receiving appears when the LD website is accessed from a state that prohibits discounts and promotions. Digital rebates, rewards, and mobile coupons are void in NJ, NY, MA, MN and where restricted or prohibited by law, and the Savings and Rewards sections will not appear as an option when accessing the LD website from within those states. While you may not presently be in one of those states, when you receive that particular error message it is because the IP address you are connecting to the LD website from is either being flagged as based in one of the restricted states or the location is unable to be verified. Because our encryption is legally required to be handled by an independent third party, we are unable to override it when it flags an IP as being restricted. In past instances where you have been able to access the website without issue you were likely connecting from a different IP address, which suggests you may be in a different location or using a device that is connecting via a different means (wi-fi vs. a wired connection, or a wireless carrier vs. traditional ISP). Should you continue to receive the "State Regulations" error, I would suggest either connecting or disconnecting to wi-fi (the opposite of however you were connected when receiving the error), or potentially attempting to connect from a different device. If you are using a VPN, please make sure you are disconnected from it while accessing the LD website. Because this is an issue caused by your local connection to the internet, unfortunately it is not an issue that we can resolve for you on our end as the host. You will need to modify your internet connection via one of the methods described above to be able to access the restricted pages of the LD website.Solved1.1KViews1like7CommentsTmobile home internet bleeding data?
since after 9 months of being on waiting list unlimited TMobile internet is still not available, they convinced me to try the 100 GB a month plan. Anyone else finding they are being lied to about the data being used?? It said I went through 100 GB in under a week and I was only watching shows on Netflix and Crunchyroll, only 1 device connected, no additional downloads... and according to T-Mobile texts from the time it texted me I was at 95% to the time it texted me I used 100% data was only 20 minutes.. there is no way I watched 5 gigs worth of movie/show in 20 minutes, even HD 4k takes about 1 hours per GB used... and then I go to the data usage section on T-Mobile it says I used all 100 GB, but further down the page it shows only 96 GB was used.. and now that I'm using low speed, it's even slower then low speed tethering from my phone.. (TMobile internet low speed is 2G .. TMobile phone tethering low speed is 3G ... 3 G you can still watch Netflix and amazon video, 2G you can't even get passed the log in page)1.1KViews1like9CommentsMassive fluctuation of internet speed
Our home internet fluctuates from 0.44mbps to 200+mbps . This is an example of a good day. The fluctuations are steadily getting worse. I my opinion T-Mobile has oversold there ability to supply a steady internet signal. T-Mobile just keeps say it congestion which seems to me the same thing I am saying, they have more customers than they can supply internet to. Plus there's no rhyme or reason to the fluctuation. Is anything being done to fix this or do I need to move on to a different way of getting the internet. What we have now is almost useless.2.6KViews6likes13Commentsdisabled devices in T-mobile home internet
I was wondering where you can find your disabled devices on the T-mobile home internet app or website if that still even works anymore. It was accidentally disabled and now I can't find it anywhere and that devices is left without wifi.Solved11KViews0likes15CommentsT-mobile gateway with seperate router
I’m just starting out on T-Mobile home internet but didn’t want to stop using my Asus Router which is set up nicely already to handle everything in this household (both wifi and ethernet). Here’s what I did to avoid any problems. I hooked my Router’s WAN port (which use to go to my cable modem) to one of the two ethernet ports on the back of the T-Mobile Gateway. To avoid double NAT and other problems, I went to Administration on my Asus RT-AX82U and changed it from Wireless Router to Access Point. I made sure to download the Device Discovery Utility linked under Access Point before saving the change so I could get the Router IP address to log into it after the Router reboots. Then just type the new IP into the browser to continue managing the Router. I hope this helps anyone that simply wants to keep using their Router and it’s setup with the T-Mobile Gateway. I can’t totally disable the wifi in the T-Mobile Gateway (mine is the Sagemcom), but I switched it to 5Ghz only in the Tmobile app to cut down on any interference (which hasn’t been a problem anyway) and still only use the WiFi from my Asus Router.7.3KViews9likes14CommentsT-mobile Promo rebate is a scam
I signed up online for Tmobile 5G internet on Dec 8th. The shipment of the 5G gateway arrived on Dec 10th. Same day, T-mobile started a promo for new 5G internet customers to offer $100 visa prepaid card. I applied for the rebate and it was declined. The Rebate center said my activation date was Dec 9th. How can my activation date be before I receive a gateway? The rebate center won't honor this. Won't even connect with the supervisor. I spend over 2K on annual basis and they don't care.1KViews2likes3Comments
